That was my post from this morning at like 3. But now I have some info:http://www.nypost.com/seven/10182006/news/...s_i__alpert.htm Also, now we know the REAL reason Bassy didn't play in the second half last night: I knew it didn't seem right to hear that Telfair was "sick" after an excellent first half like that. But wow, all this is a bit crazy. Now, when I hear that rumor of someone overhearing him call someone and tell them to "take care of it"... eh. I don't know how beleivable that is. People make up little things like that all the time in incodents like this. Bassy is a good kid, I don't think he would call someone to come by and shoot someone. I just don't think he's that type of kid at all, from Coney Island or not, he has a good head on his shoulders.EDIT: I have another quote from a Shira Springer article that is very comforting: OK, well if the shooter is the guy that took Bassy's chain, then there are no problems. I hope this is true, because like I said, Bassy isn't the type of kid to call one of his boys to come down and shoot someone. No way.
It sounds to me the person who jacked Bassy's necklace did the shooting too. I don't know why Fabolous would, he got money and could get his own chain if he wanted I'm pretty sure. But in the first article it said that it was a rapper who took the chain so I'm not sure.

Also note that right under the title I wrote "Bassy did not shoot him." But, with the evidence that's been leaked out, he COULD be involved. Involved doesn't necessarily mean he shot him, but if in fact he did make a phone call for someone to "take care of it," then that would mean he would be "involved." Now, I don't think he made that call, and if he did make a call it wasn't for that reason.
Um, yes really, man. There is absolutely zero connection between the two as far as we know right now, it's just you starting rumors. There is no point in labeling this thread with the title it has. It should be something like "Telfair Questioned about Robbery", something to that effect. This is misleading and unfair to Sebastian.

It's so ridiculous to assume a connection (a loose one, at that) to a shooting that happened the same day as another incident between him and "a rapper." Oh man, that is so crazy to assume that those two incidents have anything to do with each other! That's so unfair call the NAACP!!!!11

I can't even believe you accused me of starting rumors, when all I did was clearly provide links with evidence.Zero connection? Really? ESPN reported A RAPPER took his chain. Then it was "reported" that someone overheard Telfair call someone and say "take care of it." (I think that is false, but it's there). Are you telling me that if it's true that there is no connection right there? You are absolutely crazy. And trust me, I am one of the last people to just spread false rumors, especially about a Celtic player that I like a lot.
wow, this is kinda crazy. I think that Bassy handled things very well though. (If he didnt call that guy and tell him to take care of it of course). But after getting a 50,000 dollar item stolen from him, I would think that he would have been a little more upset.

Keep it.
Interesting... I doubt he would of done it though... I'm sure he ha enough money and chains as it is.
^I think people do it more because they think it makes them intimidating. Which is what I assume this case would be.

yeah, the game said he was a "victim of a robbery". he got in a little trouble tho, because it happened at 2 am when his curfew is 10. haha
