of making it to monument park? We know Jeter & Mo are no brainers but if you had to choose between Pettitte, O'Neil, Posada & Williams. Who has the best chance?

O'Neil and Posada no. Andy and Bernie would have the best chance although I think it will be Jeter and Mo only from those years.

I don't think Andy makes it due to his connection to PEDs though I think he deserves the honor a hellava lot more then Reggie. So between those 4 guys I'm going with Posada & Williams because they spent there entire careers with the Yankees.

I think its just Jeter and Mo for a long time. There careers were of legendary status. The others were very good player and borderline Hall of Famers, but Jeter and Mo are first ballot solid gold.

...IMO, the only plaque Bernie, Posada, Oneill, or Pettitte will ever get, can be removed with proper dental hygiene.

unfortunately the Yankees have lessened what monument park and retired numbers mean. Bernie was my favorite player but he is not an all time great and is should not be held on the same standars as Mantle and Joe D.

^^^ yup, and I still don't think Reggie should be in MP or should have had his # retired.

I've been saying that for years. I mean only 5 years on the team & only 3 of which were good. Yeah that pretty much watered down MP.

He didn't exactly exit on the best of terms... it was George Steinbrenner who led to his leaving, not Hank/Hal, but there may be some ill will there...??? not sure

    Agreed...

I COMPLETELY agree with you on that... nor should he be considered an all time great... I've seen him on a number of all-time Yankees lists, and I disagree... but I digress

I've always said that without that 3 homer game in the WS there's no way he makes MP. And one game shouldn't have given him access anyway. I mean seriously if he made it, then lifetime Yankees like Bernie & Jorge who were also part of 4 WS trophies have to be considered.
