Good ole' Gordon Giricek needs to go. He rarley plays defense (if ever) He takes horrible executed shots, He's taking up playing time for our young guys.We could get a servicable big man for him. Who wants in?

I'd have to agree with you. The Jazz have Ronnie Brewer, CJ Miles, and Matt Harpring that can play the position. Now If I recall hasnt he had problems with Sloan as well? I think it would be great if they could move him along, but only problem is are there going to be any takers?

Yeah, his time is definitely up. Only a matter of time 'til Brewer snatches that starting two guard spot. Like pj said though, I can't imagine there being too many suiters for him.

yeah I think GG needs to go. all he was good for is being a shooter, and he isn't even doing that any more.I'd like to see him packaged with Haffa for a decent role playing bigman with 1 year left on his deal, and a 2008 pick.I say adding another big because the Jazz need a true seven footer, even if he is just a big stiff. Haffa just sucks thats why he has to go. and the 08 pick is because the Jazz dont have the roster room, they have like 12 of their 15 spots garenteed, and 2-4 draft picks in next years draft.

Nobody is going to give you a decent PF/C and a pick for those 2 players. Come on now.

by decent I mean in terms of being better than Haffa, which leaves nearly every bigman in the league.

Yeah he should go. Its just amazing ti think and say "whoa this guy starts?". Has to be one of the least metioned staters in the league.

I have never been a fan of Giricek at all. Like you said, he rarely (if ever) plays defense, and he is inconsistant. I think Sloan would be making a mistake playing him more than Ronnie Brewer, rookie or not.

But trading him for a decent big? Not going to happen, he just doesn't have much value IMO. Maybe package him in a deal, maybe try and get a 3rd part involved to really make it work.

Yeah Giricek is on contract for 2 more years at something like $4M or $4.5M a year. He's overpaid and he was expected to do more on the court, but he never really has. Nothing about his game really impresses me, and he's inconsistant to boot.
