If you say something and that person doesn't respond effectively, then talk about something else with them or don't talk to them at all. Usually it is easy to figure out what to talk about with a person. Find a tv show or internet video or something to quote, then they'll be like haha that's funny let's say it everyday and annoy everyone and you'll be like cool so then we'll be friends right lol and they'll be like yeah. I used to thing 'what's up' is a greeting. but whenever I say it they say like 'not much' or something like that.I used to be REALLY shy... you just gotta tell yourself it's not a big deal to go up to someone and bring up conversation. For me, it's hard to get to know someone right off the bat, but after that is done converstion is eaaaassssyyy..

Wellllll....For the past few years I have tried to act like a jacka$$ to other people/do stupid sh*t to get attention and friends. It worked for some, while others began to hate me. This year I don't do stupid sh*t anymore, and rarely act like an ***hole to others to get attention. It looks a lot better to other people, and you don't get a bad reputation.As for girls, I am probably not the best advice giver as I am pretty shy and not outgoing like lots of others. I just simply am not the type of person to give random girls hugs in the hallway or go to the diner with a bunch of people. But with girls that I have gone out with/almost had, it has always been with being somewhat of a mystery, being cocky, tough to get, looking like I'm outgoing, etc... Most of the time this is the kind of person you have to be to get a girl, outgoing, social and at times hard to get. You have to somewhat change your personality, and while it sucks IMO, rewards are high (well, if you're lucky anyway!).
It's not a problem for me. I always have something to say, and I am too talkative. If you are too shy then thats alright. Just try to get conversation started. Talk about something..etc..
