Arsène Wenger is said to be interested in signing FC Shalke midfielder Julian Draxler with the expectation that he can transform him into a star centre forward. The 20-year old draufgänger from Gladbeck has a knack for the spectacular and is reportedly commanding a transfer fee of close to €45-million. With the January transfer window closing in a week pressure is on Arsene Wenger to shore-up the team's roster before our final push for trophies but so far he's been reluctant to buy. Nicklas Bendtner and Yaya Sanogo are options up front but most Gooners think an experienced striker should be added.
Dick Law is supposedly in Germany negotiating the release of Draxler, as if he were a political prisoner.
