Let's assume that Harden starts in Bryant's spot. Even with Paul in the mix, I see Lillard and Paul as two obvious picks. I suppose Parker can sneak in there, but if the Rockets can have two players, then the Blazers certainly can, too. This year has proven that Pop is the best coach in the NBA. Guys go in and out of the line-up, yet he still wins a ton of games. In the case of the Spurs, I'm starting to think that outside of Duncan and his obvious greatness, it's more of a system approach that lends to the success of many of their players.
Who starts in Kobe's place is up to the coach at the time of the game - doesn't really have anything to do with Lillard's chances. Who takes Kobe's spot on the team is up to the commish. I don't see Lillard as an obvious pick over Tony Parker. Parker has been playing better than Lillard of late and the coaches might and probably will focus on voting for Parker as a (necessary) Spurs rep instead of Duncan. As harped on in a couple other threads there is a chance the coaches could vote in 4 reserve guards, but as far as I was able to find that has never happened before.
wow this place went downhill since I left Klove: 25/13/4 WS/48: .265 (4th in league, 1st among Bigs) PER: 27.2 (4th in League, 1st among Bigs) AST%: 19.8% (3rd among Bigs) TRB%: 19.5% (7th among Bigs) 3pt%: 38.6% (3rd among Bigs) Let's see... Love is a better scorer, rebounder, passer, can make 3s at a high rate (higher % than steph curry), isnt surrounded by any 3 pt shooters unlike LMA who is surrounded by 3 elite ones. They're about the same defensively (Love has a better D rating and DWS), LMA gives people more trouble 1 on 1 but isnt as good rotationally. But it's KEvin Loves fault the wolves aren't winning. What happened to this place? Weren't there smart people? Nate Bishop is a retard. LOL
Tough night for Dame. Lawson abused him. Hopefully Lillard learns for it, or, if he's injured, takes a few days off. He was the worst player on the court for Portland much of the night. It was tough to watch Shaw call plays for Foye against Dame.
unfortunately it's not just 1 game, Parker > Lillard is more of a recent trend. very glad Kobe is sitting out since that opens up spots for both.
ESPiN: “Given your success and the success of your team, the NBA All Star starters were announced today - Do you feel a bit snubbed?” LA: “Uhhhhh… that’s what I’ve been hearing. The way my teammates have been performing, and the things that I’ve done, my body of work, I think I should have been a starter. But, it’s about the fans, and I don’t play an exciting brand of basketball, I’m more of a “go get it done” type guy. So, I’m not surprised.” He’s just a “go get it done” type guy. Spoken like a legit MVP. 32-11 He’s definitely getting it done.
The ASG has zero to do with the "best of the best". Zero. Nada. It's a popularity contest and marketing campaign. Period. Seriously you lost all credibility with that statement.
That was a short stay. Come back soon. Laughing is so good for me. Here's a parting gift: It is Love's fault the Twolves have won only 3 games versus teams over .500, and are tied for 3rd most road losses in the West. True story. Love's post game is no where near as good as Aldridge. He's in the same class as Blake Griffin - one looking up at Aldridge wishing they could score at will and close games out for their respective teams. How often does Love draw a double team? Never? Sometimes? Ask Denver what happens when you don't double team Aldridge: 44 points. Love's defense What is "the punch line of a joke"? Correct. Pick again. If Love actually played defense, he would have fewer rebounds. Love, simply put, is one of the worst front court player in the NBA at affecting shots. Love allowed opponents to shoot 68% within the restricted area on 806 attempts this season. He is THE WORST at affecting shots in the restricted area in the ENTIRE NBA of any front court player who has defended more than 600 shot attempts. Aldridge allowed 55.6% on 1023 opponent attempts this season. You know who else is terrible? Kevin Martin 67.8% on 707 attempts. Ricky Rubio 68.1% on 736 attempts. Corey Brewer 68.4% on 744 attempts. Nikola Pekovic 67.8% on 743 attempts. Minnesota is terrible because Love is terrible. Maybe if he faced his defender instead of worrying about trying to box them out and get position for a rebound, maybe helped out his teammates, he'd affect more shots? Maybe? No. Best stick to hording rebounds. End of story.
Exactly. Minny is 0-11 in games decided by 5 points or less with Love either not leading the team to a victory or actually chocking the victory away. And then there is LMA's performance last night . . .
That wasn't LMA! Where are the "You knows"? That quote is about 2 paragraphs short without all the You Knows in there!
