    No. You publicly bring that shit up on the regular, so we are going to discuss it publicly.

    I did not beg to come back. We lost a couple mods, Denny asked if I wanted to be a mod again, I said okay, and that was that.

    Don't pretend like you've been saying the events were "you were a mod, you stopped being a mod, and then you were a mod again."

    There's ridicule and then there's constantly bringing it up to the point where people are calling you out on it. Just leave the guy alone. If he engages you on the topic, so be it, but let it die. I'm so tired of hearing about how some of us thought LA would be gone last summer. It's over. He said he wanted to re-sign here. We're all happy that he wants to stay. Why can't we just let it go?

    I don't care if you agree with me. And I'm not trying to change your mind. I'm just laughing at how much effort you put into to being critical of the MVP season LA is having. Deal with it. lol

    The great part of this board is that I don't have to. I'm putting out information that no one else is, and while some posters don't like it, some do. I'm putting out analyses that other people aren't, and whether they agree with you or not, they generate discussion. I come here to learn things from other fans, and to look up information about items where I could be wrong. I think the board would be a lot better if more people did that.

    Well, that's progress I guess - downgrading from "fact" to "information." It's a start.

    Your opinion about LA being a chucker and not even the MVP of the Blazers was about as dumb as they come. So I'm not sure what you think you're learning by continuing to find fault with anyone who makes reference to his MVP season. You're posts on LA suggest you are not here to "learn" from other Blazer fans. Your posts suggest you are here to convince others what you believe, not share with them what you believe. In which case you've already lost any argument.

    I have no problem with Brian; seems like he wants the team to be better and more efficient. who wouldn't want that?

    And maybe i am old fashioned but I think if i was Aldridge I would let it be known that I would rather the fans let up on the MVP stuff. I'd say: that's about an individual, and I'm all about the team.

    Pretty much what I'm seeing from Brian is that he is showing that LMA can be MORE effective than he already is, and that's being misconstrued in all sorts of directions. It IS the truth, and it's been shown in the last 4-5 games. If he does go to the paint more, gets to the FT line where he is normally very good, he becomes THAT MUCH MORE effective. He is effective, but he can be more so. To me, that's what I'm seeing Brian bringing. And that's not bad at all. It's just getting lost in translation. I have no doubt that Brian thinks LMA is an MVP candidate. But, he's going up against very tough competition (Bron, Durant, George, etc.) and that LMA needs to "up his game" just a bit by being a banger down in the paint and getting to the rim. Nothing wrong with that at all, and LMA has been doing that for the last several games to very desirable results.

    With the increased importance of the three-ball in today's NBA, it's going to be nearly impossible for a big to win the award going forward. Durant can score more points on fewer shots because of that fact alone (plus all of the gift free throws he gets from that rip move - that still garners free throws once the penalty is in effect).

    Even though I doubt LMA gets the MVP, it's obvious he's one of 4 players that could win the award (at least halfway through the season).

    When was the last time Portland had a first-team All-NBA player, though? Currently, LMA has a solid chance at making it.
