Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketbal...outing.reports/1. Utah Jazz, 4th seed.2. Denver Nuggets out of the playoffs.3. Nets making the Eastern Conference Finals. There are smarter people on this board than most spots writers.
Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings Wow, those are the worst rankings I have ever seen!- Denver out of playoffs?- Utah making the playoffs? 4th seed my ass!- Nets in ECF over Miami, Detroit, Chicago?- Bulls 5th seed?- Cavs 3rd seed?- Celtics only better than Atlanta in the East? Haha- Celtics 5th in Atlantic?- Warriors over Wolves?
Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings I agree with the nets being in the ECF. Let's go nets! This is our year!
Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings At least this guy doesn't go along with everything everyone says. Nice to see someone with a little different few on things, if everyone had the same basic power rankings they would be boring. Who really knows, a lot of those things could very well happen. The Jazz have a nice young team, if Denver has injuries I could see them possibly taking the division, it's possible. Remember, the standings are going to be very close, anyone could sneak ahead really. What we think will happen now could be very different in a few months.

Beating out Minny and Denver wouldn't be that difficult, if injuries don't hurt Utah.Boston is way way too low, Cleveland has a fat chance of winning the division without much improvement over the off-season, and I really dislike the Phoenix pick for the title.

Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings For some reason I love those rankings. :shifty2: Sure I don't agree with a few but it's very possible that some of his questionable picks do happen. If there weren't going to be any surprises then they would start the playoffs right now.
Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings Again, writers of SI are generally guys who simply watch highlights and get away with trying to sound smart. Even if they are socalled "experts," they really aren't
Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings Maybe if he backed up his points i9nstead of just laying them out on a page them I'd have a better understanding of his predictions. And as BCB said, I like how he has a different spin on the NBA. Maybe it's bias but still it's nice to see something that is on a limb and it's something that we can talk about other then "Oh I agree" and something to that extent.

Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings Warriors are somehow the 10 ranked in our conference? BS! Nelson adds a huge improvement from last year and Baron is healthier than ever.

I mean look at what it was last year and compare it to how you see the rosters of NO and Houston, they are 2 teams that DIDN'T make the playoffs and are expected to bounce back with an impressive season.Plus not to mention that they are the worst team in the Pacific division so unless all teams have a great year I just don't see it happening.

The division winners still stay in the top four seeds. The one that gets me is Indiana. They made some moves during the offseason, but nothing worthwhile really.

I mean honestly, nets second in the east? celtics second to last? oh please, this guy is an idiot.
Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings I love how everyone thinks just because the Suns get Amare back makes them the automatic champs... pretty crazy

Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings Yeah I got the issue today and decided to actually read it just to see if they did a half decent job. I autmatically just stopped reading it after I saw that they had the Suns winning the championship over the Heat. These guys are a joke. I stopped bothering with SI ever since they blamed all the Sixers failure on AI. I know for a fact that I could do a better than some of these guys for analysing the NBA. I mean Utah 4th seed is just a joke lol. Do they not realize that Carlos Boozer and AK are both injury proned...
Re: SI's HORRIBLE Power Rankings Memphis Grizzlies 12th seed?Hell no, people are acting like Pau is out for entire season which isnt the case, he'll be back way before the playoff push begins for most teams and I see us maybe not making playoffs, but 12 is a stupid ranking. I cant wait till the griz proves SI wrong.
