We've had a tough schedule and the team looks tough. Our early success hinged pretty heavily on playing the eastern conference so much. As long as we maintain HCA, that's all I care about.
If you break the schedule into 10-game segments, we're: 8-2 9-1 7-3 7-3 and 2-3 for the current segment. I do agree that the schedule was easier early on, but absent the most recent couple of games, not much has changed. Maybe it's the fan in me, but I chalk the last 5 up to being at the tail end of a really tough 11-day schedule.
Interesting way to look at it. If they win their next 5, I'll retract my claim that this really is a .600 team benefitting from a really great start.
Tough, but possible. Memphis at home, followed by three middle to low end Eastern Conference teams, capped off with at Indiana.
We'll beat Memphis, and end the month 9-5. That's a good clip! We lost two games that we should have won, and we won 2 games that we should have lost. But this was a very tough month with 5 road games against playoff teams.
They've exceeded my expectations so far. I can't complain with that. They'll need to keep on making adjustments as the season progresses.
