I think the worst way to argue against someone is by citing anecdotal evidence and making absolute statements, but what do I know? I'm just in college.
and since you go to college you're automatically a genius. no. sorry I'm not a god damned scientist. none of us are.

Sheesh.Edit: By the way, I'd appreciate it if you'd actually read what I say and not put words into my mouth. I never called myself a genius, but I definitely have a better idea of how to structure an argument, which is pretty obvious from this topic. He said/she said is meaningless to people who actually have any debating skills.
you were obviously placing yourself above me with that sarcasm. I didn't put words into your mouth. you're just arrogant. I said "he said/she said" only once.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Link? Where does it say that casual drinkers get problems down the line? I think those are the heavy drinkers problems.</div> A link to what? If you can't see the negative effects drinking can have on your body, then your just being naive. Are you telling me casual drinkers who drink possibly 1 or 2 beers every other day won't have any effect on your body over the years? You compare a person who doesn't drink to a casual one and tell me in 10 years, who is healthier.
Well you know some casual drinkers? The case usually is they don't have good eating habits either and don't prioritize their diet. My brother is 10 years older than I am and he drinks often but he eats healthy and takes care of himself. Getting wasted all the time is what you want to stay away from. 1 beer a day is actually considered healthy I've heard.
I've heard that little wine is good for you, but I'm pretty positive that there's no way in hell beer is actually good for you.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>1 beer a day is actually considered healthy I've heard.</div> I've heard that too, supposedly it helps with heart diseases. Found this blurb about it here: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>According to the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, beer contains high levels of an ingredient that helps deposit <span style="color:#0033cc">calcium</span> and other minerals into <span style="color:#0033cc">bone</span> <span style="color:#0033cc">tissue</span>.And a recent study found the antioxidants present in dark beer help prevent clogged arteries, which should reduce the risk of <span style="color:#0033cc">heart disease</span>.Most research showed the optimum benefits can be reaped with up to one drink a day for women and up to two a day for men.Still, it's a good idea to take a look at the size of your beer belly before you knock back a pint or two. The extra calories found in beer may cancel out any health benefits.</div> The last statement writes it off though, and I agree. Drinking a beer or 2 day to prevent heart disease would not be the way I go. Exercise and a healthy diet are better ways.

How would he know? He's never tried it. Aside from that, I really haven't made much of any argument. All I said was that marijuana users are more annoying than beer drinkers (which is a personal opinion, if you didn't notice) and asked whether dogma had any actual evidence that marijuana is perfectly safe for use, never hurts anyone, and actually beneficial to most people! (that's implication I'm seeing, at least) Aside from mere anecdotal evidence, I've seen nothing.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nba dogmatist @ Oct 22 2006, 07:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>exactly. and I haven't seen justice posting any actual info either.</div>About what?
