Not surprised to see everyone can see it was a clear overreaction by the moderator (looks like it was Natebishop). The last post I made in the thread after Stephen Curry scored his like 18th pt in the 1st half was "_amian Lillar_?" I'm told I was trying to provoke posters by posting negative things..... in a thread where almost every post was negative by every poster. Shit, just look at what Natebishop was posting in the thread: This moderator suspended me for posting "_amian Lillar_", yet made these elegant posts in the very same thread. What. A. Joke. Denny turning a blind eye to it all is also troubling to see. What happened here is everything he's said he's against.
Don't get used to it. Consider it my belated Christmas present. Denny specifically told me I can only say one positive thing about you per year.
Look at it this way...... From the pic I posted, there's no arguing you have a long hose (several, actually). And, you're kinda like a steel trap. Both of those things are rarely negatives about people.
Do people really not understand that repeat offenders usually get less rope than non repeat offenders?
Seems like there have been a lot of suspensions these days (relative to years past). Not a big fan and hope we can get back to where a suspension was only used for the most drastic of remedies.
The site is becoming the opposite of what Denny wanted it to be. At least I can give credit to Sly for trying to discuss it. Natebishop is the one that made the suspension and isn't even trying to justify it. I think he knows he abused his power.
This is the rub, and why I agree with RoyToy/Batum Looms/Chillin McMillan/Throbbin Robin (just guessing at the next name) The idea that he would get suspended more quickly than other posters because of his past trolling is perfectly sensible. The idea that anything he posted in that game thread was worthy even of a warning, let alone a suspension, makes no sense to me.
He seems like a solid guy in real life, but having him a a moderator here is like having me, or MickZagger, or other similar posters. Just not the right temperament at all. Wasn't I actually elected a mod in some poll? I refused because I know I'd use that position to my advantage to punish posters who grated on me. Seems like there is one loose cannon of a mod here, and 99% of the drama these days involves him.
