How many people have I banned or suspended in the four years that I've been a mod? Five or six? I suspended you and banned you, neither time had anything to do with me. I suspended Zags once (for fighting with you.) I banned OIG after his third go round on the board. I never banned Mixum. I never banned Mediocre Man. You, RoyToy, and Zags are the only people I've ever suspended. Outside of the Timbertrolls, the only people I've ever banned are you and OIG. Denny was the one who originally banned Mixum and Sly did it most recently. So how can I be this overly emotional mod who abuses his power when I've hardly ever used my power? I go weeks without editing a post. It sure seems like you're trying REALLY hard to make it out like I'm go from thread to thread, waiving my power around and smiting those who oppose me. How many times have you and I butted heads without even the slightest penalty for you? You act like I'm so emotional, but have I ever suspended you or banned you after one of our blowups? No. Try again. You are the KING of bringing up the past. Nobody brings up the past as much as you. You are also the king of personal attacks. I attack content. I argue with ideas. I don't attack you the person. That's the difference between you and I. Maybe I get into an argument, and I like to win, but I don't attack you personally. Not like you do. You've taken shots at my fiancee. You've taken shots at my career. You've attacked me as a mod. You are the absolute most emotional poster on this forum, and your behavior constantly reaffirms that notion. You also didn't answer my question. What entitles you to come onto this forum and attack people because you are having problems in your personal life?
The fact that you would respond to my posts in this thread proves my claim. I know you're not unintelligent, but holy cow, I gave you every chance here to take the higher ground. Instead, you proved that you hold grudges, and that you're vindictive. As for me being an emotional poster ... I'm a poster. I've never wanted to be a mod. I bring an energy to this board, for good or bad, that I have no control over in terms of how the board views it or accepts it. What I don't understand, and probably never will understand, it why you want to continue to be a moderator here when there are so many posters that have issues with how you moderate. I'd probably step aside at that point. Instead, you lash out at me over stuff that happened years ago. I can't imagine you're having fun being a moderator here. If you are, that's a personality disorder, IMO. Instead, it seems like you build up aggression and then either ban or suspend posters who you agitate to the point they have a beef with you. Then , you flip it on them, and look for back-up from your fellow (rational) mods.
Who are these mysterious posters that you speak of? Let them stand and be recognized for all to see. If enough people want me gone, I'll happily step down. I get paid nothing for this. I do it because I care about the community and because Denny asked me to. If I am so horrible, let people speak up. If they want me gone, I will respectfully step aside.

I'm pretty sure the point of this thread is that nothing has been worth a ban. Only one mod keeps making the case about subjectively modding things and bring up years-old instances of behavior.. Is NB# the Steve Javia of S2 Moda, where he interjects himself in any dispute on the board? When is the next interview in RipCity2??? I'd like this mod to be interviewed and put on the record. It's an "Official Forum," perhaps it's time for the Blazers to see who is trying at attract people to this board, versus who is banning them.
I feel SlyPokerDog and DEnnyCrane should take a look at what's happening on this board at this point, and to do so with an objective filter. If a mod is bating posters, strip him of his modship. If a poster is excessively baiting posters, deal with it, but also know that the community has done a well enough job of doing so outside of a certain moderator named NateBishop3, who interjects his own interpretation in a one-off debate, and the actually ends up blowing the debate to the point BrianfromWA leaves the debate that was supposedly in his favor. I'd quit if I were that mod. Doesn't have the temperament for it, visciously attacks posters at times, makes up names like "PapaGizzle" as a an insult, I guess ... an admirable and confident man would laugh at this ridiculousness he's cultivated and just say, 'you know what, I'm done moderating this shit. I actually respect Nate's post about having people pipe up.......... nothing but crickets........ I for one think he's doing a fine job. This place has some serious drama for being a (most male) sports messaging forum. Too many personality disorders congregating in the same discussion space and too many people attack the poster and not the post. I think the 1 day bans should be moved to a week. That might actually help. 24 hours is just enough to cause what happened in this thread. Multiple accounts and argument(s).
I think the fact that Nate hasn't allowed personal issue with papag to interject and cause him to just permanently ban him shows he's just fine. If it was such a huge personal issue, ban hammer and being done with it would be much easier.
This. I mean, how many more complaint threads have to turn into a certain poster telling Nate that he's a terrible mod (he's not) and that he should resign his position (he shouldn't)? Sure, Nate responds back to the posts. But he's pretty "whatever" about it rather than suspending the poster or telling him that he's a prick.
In his defense, we root for the Blazers, which, well, aren't exactly (until this year) an elite-ish team.
