This is absurd on many levels... 1, the coach is suing one of the players he coached at the time it happened, 2, the coach is in a vocation known for being fairly well off and yet is suing for more than $600,000 for pain/suffering, lost wages, medical expenses, etc., 3, the kid was 14, 4, there was no ill-intent and would be extremely hard to prove even if there was, 5, the helmet was thrown straight up in the air in a frickin' celebration and supposedly severed his Achilles tendon... I'm sorry you got hurt? What good will that do?
The coach is an asshole. In addition, I guess the attorney feels as if the 14 year old would say he was sorry, would the court take that as admission of wrong doing. The coach has no clue.
