Re: Nets will win the nba finals! If the Nets play the way the are in the preseason, then they won't even make the playoffs. I say they might go maybe 2nd round of the Eastern Conference if they don't meet Miami in the 1st round. They might rank around 6 or 7 in the East. There is no way there gonna win the NBA Finals.

It's strictly for the young'ns. So, basically, just because the Nets suck in the preseason does not mean that the triple-threat combination of Vincanity, RJ and JKidd won't wreck on a lot of teams.</span>

This thread makes me believe that either A) I was wrong about the overall NBA knowledge on this board, 'cause most of the replies don't make any sense, even if you aren't a Nets fan. Come on people, they "have to work hard" to "even make the playoffs?". Jesus, it's not like the worst team in the East, you know. Also: judging teams on what they have done in the pre-season, doesn't mean sh*t. If you would really base your opinions on those kind of things, the Raptors will be the NBA Champion. I remember those champion Bulls teams in the nineties, and they would have horrible pre-seasons too. I agree it will be interesting to see the Nets facing any other elite Eastern Conference team for a 7 game series. Whoever it may be, die playoff time, only then we will see who is truly the East's elite. But people stating the Nets will barely make the playoffs, or thinking the preseason determines the fate of any team, is just naive. I've been following the league (as far as possible in my country ) since '92, and I learned quickly that preseason doesn't mean a thing. Like Illosophee said: it's good for guys like Marcus Williams and Hassan Adams to see what they can do, but that's all. Who cares if they've only won 1 game?Again, if I wasn't so lazy, I would try to find the 90's Bulls preseason records. Then again, why would I? I hope that most of us know better than that, and I'm not claiming to be some elitist F*ck, I'm just asking people to try to be objective. We're all a little biased, because we all love our own team, our own players, but still...I've never posted on a NBA board before, just because most people can't judge teams from an objective standpoint. In the short time I've been on BBW, it seems like most people here know what they're talking about. But there are obviously exceptions to that statement.
