I think it's time to really start getting pumped about this kid. I was cautious because it's the Quebec league and we saw Dawes lack the motivation when he was a pro. Dawes still could score in the NHL without consistent effort. However, you're talking about 44 goals, 38 A in 48 games. That's freakin off the charts. Rangers flat out stole this kid. Basically, Duclair wasn't playing with much. Now, Grigorenko has joined the team. Expect Duclair to go off even more now. Love the fact how he decided to take his fitness to an entirely different level after an injury plagued season where he dropped majorly in the draft.

Our prospects are finally starting to tear it up. Duclair had 1 G, 2 A against one of the top two teams in the Quebec league in a loss. Lindberg and Fast are on fire in the AHL now. Lindberg 2 G 1 A. now up to 12 G and 16 A. He'll be ready for the NHL any time they call him up. Fast 1 G, 1 A, now has 9 goals, 7 A in 20 AHL games. Tambellini had 1 G 1 A and was a +4 last night.

I already referred to Nigel Dawes in a Duclair thread. However, you continue to act like a tool on a regular basis. Try reading the prospect thread. I highly suggest you cheer for another team since you consistently think everything about the Rangers sucks.

nothing like taking it way over board eh Dump.
You are going gaga over this player. Just as much if not more than Dawes. Sorry to be a realist here. What's going to happen when he takes the next level and doesn't put up the same numbers he is doing in a league known for scoring...will he be "lazy" or will the coaching staff ruin him? I read each and every thread on here. Other than me attacking people for blaming the past COACHES for everything I am very positive about this team and have always been. When others were ready to write them off against Ottawa....wasn't it me WHO STAYED BY HIS TEAM....oh wait...aren't you the same person who at times refuse to watch games or turn them off writing off the team NUMEROUS times...

but that's just me...a tool right

At this point I'm just skipping what you post because it's clear you are one of the tool posters who just takes the other side to start crap. If you praise prospects, you ignore 8 who made it and point out one who didn't. If you rip a player who stinks or has a checkered past and he finds a way to play well, you act like you knew he would play well. You aren't much better than DDD as a poster at the moment.

WHERE THE FUCK DID I RIP DUCLAIR...all im fucking saying is you get a hardon for every single prospect that has a good season.God forbid someone says relax and wait. In your world that is ripping a player?
You praised Dubi saying he was better than parasi, then he kid has a bad season and is nothing but a lazy out of shape money grubbing whore.
Stepan...what a steal in the second round...he is out of shape now and doesn't take being a professional seriously.

Rip on me all you want.. I don't go overboard one way or another when it comes to players.

Dawes also had NHL seasons of 14 G 15 A in 61 games, 10 G 9 A in 51 games, 14 G 18 A in 61 games. There are tons of Rangers fans who would suck off a third line player with those averages projected over 82 games. Dawes also had a career high season of 21 more points per game played in the WHL. Duclair is 36 more points than games played. That's a massive difference to anybody with a brain on juniors.

and yet Dawes in playing overseas. So not only is he not a third line player on the Rangers..but all the other teams don't think he can crack their lineup either so he goes overseas to play. So again this points out that well stats in juniors are great..they are not always going to show greatness in the NHL.

Duclair tearing up the Q just makes him someone worth keeping in eye on, but nothing else. It's like when a baseball prospect tears up Single-A ball. Means 0 on how he will perform in the majors and don't really start getting excited until he's doing it in AA.

There is a difference between tearing up a junior league and putting up one of the best junior seasons by a player. Considering Duclair's supporting cast was regarded as pretty crappy until Grigorenko joined, his numbers are absurd. There have been only a few players in the Q to break 100 points the last 4 years. Of those, a couple were 5'9. Duclair has legit NHL size. Of the top scorers the past 4 years, he's the only guy that has a chance to go 60 g and 60 a. I couldn't find the Quebec league numbers going back 10-15 years but I'd bet a 60/60 guy doesn't come around often in that league.
