Have you ever made a buzzer beater? If so, tell us about itI've only made a buzzer beater before half time.A guy on my team shot the ball and missed badly. I got the offensive rebound with, like, one second left and put back an easy layup.
The only time I did was during a game at a Open Gym at my school (where all the Varsity, JV, and Freshmen players to go and start getting ready for the season). Clock was counting down, I was heavily guarded, but no on else was open, so I drove into the lane baseline and pulled up a reverse on the left handed side over a guy who was 7'. It wasn't a game winner, but I did tie the game.
No but I did get the game winner with less than 2 minutes left, hehe. I had the ball, I was wide open since I suck in games. I was like 10-12 feet away from the basket. My coach was yelling at me to get closer for an easy shot, I took a step in and made the shot. I was in 4th grade. I was so happy that day. 4 points was great for me since me previous high was 6 in 1st grade.
I've hit a few to end a period, even a halfcourt shot to end the 2nd quarter. I have only hit one game winning buzzer beater, though, and it was a put back layup after teammate missed (note- I am short at 5'8''-ish, so it was somewhat impressive and lucky).
Not to win a game, but I've hit a few buzzer beaters at the end of quarters, including one halfcourt one. Closest I ever came to a GW buzzer beater was two free throws with 3 seconds left to put us up one and win the game.
I made one to end the 1st half one time, but I never hit one to end a game or to win a game. The shot to end the half was a running 3 pointer
Nope. I was dribbling up the court with like 5 seconds left ready for a potential buzzer beater, but the dude just fouled me for some reason. I made 1 of the 2 foul shots. We won that game..
Yep... my freshman year in high school. We were playing our rival high school, and we were down by 1 with 3 seconds left after one of their players split a pair of free throws. Our coach called timeout, so we got the ball close to halfcourt...Anyway, the play wasn't really designed for me (I was actually the third option), but the defense had our first two guys covered fairly well, but that cost them in the end. I set a screen for our SG, who was an absolutely DEADLY shooter... his man tried to fight over the top of the screen, and that didn't work out that well so the person guarding me went over to deny the pass to our SG. Anyway, so I saw that I was pretty much wide-open, so I yelled for the ball, got it right inside the three-point line, and just put it up. Game over. Definitely my favorite personal sports moment ever...
I've never had a game winner, but have been in on the last play of the game which sealed the game. One game, we were up by 2 with about 30 seconds left, and I got a charge that gave us the ball back. I guess that's sort of a game winner in some aspects.

I have made 3.1. Normal season game we are losing by 3, thier ball 50 secs left. My team mate steals the inbound and hits me on the chest for an open layup. All him - was a great play. Still down by one 47 to play they are on offense, I am guarding thier point he fakes left and goes to move right but I knew his move and stole the ball, ran in a layup at the other end with 2 secs to spare- they had no timeouts and had to try a hail mary-it missed.2. Playing for my school, we were down by 5, 1min to go. Our ball, my captain says to everyone "DO Not try for a three" We bring the ball down the ball comes to me on the wing and I'm wide open, So I jack up a three-nothing but swish - down by 2.They pump the ball into the post I leave my man and grab onto the ball- forces a jump-ball (ball-up) with thier PF. He's way bigger and taller - he gets the tip but puts it to one of our players. We push it up the floor looking for a layup- but to thier credit they got back quickly. Again I find an open spot on the wing, the ball swings around the top, 5secs to go I am feeling it so I fire - all sweet again. they didnt get another shot off. - we win3. Semi-finals- we're losing by 3. 5secs left-no timeouts-baseline ball at the wrong end -inbound comes to me- halfway between centre court and 3pt line (thier end) I turn and fire, a hail mary - it banks in-forces overtime. My best friend took over in OT and we were on to the final.

Well, my friends and I played a recent pickup game at school early in the morning in the gym before school began. It was (I think) mid-September... We decided that the game would end as soon as the bell would ring for us to go to class. So, I don't know how miraculous this may sound and whether or not anyone believes me, the other team (we were playing four-vs-four, full court) had the ball and we were tied at 21-21. I had only scored two points (we were playing by ones) and they were all simple, wide open mid-range jumpers. A group of kids were sitting around watching us (I just had to state that 'cause I felt good when this happened). My name is Omar and one of my friends, who was playing with me at the time, is named Omar, too. He stole the ball and basically hurled it at me. I was running down our side of the court. I grabbed the ball, stopped, jumped up and shot the ball. The ball fell in right when the bell rang. The twenty or so kids watching and everyone on the court came running at me as though I had just hit the game winning shot at Madison Square Garden! Might be my greatest highlight of all time.. If only it was recorded...BTW, I have AP Language & Composition as 0 Period, but I came tardy that day, so my teacher wouldn't open the door... She's a bi*ch. I decided to go to the gym and found Omar and some other kids shooting around. I decided that it'd be cool if we all played four-on-four.The whole day, people told one another about my bell-beater... It was just amazing. Some of my friends still talk about it. I try not to talk so much about it, though. I hate showing off.. It's just not me, you know?
