Was renamed Mt. Seattle Seahawks yesterday on Google maps. It's back to Mt. Rainier today, thought that was kinda cool.

Came across it while searching on Redfin for homes in the Seattle area. Might have a shot at a promo/relo at my work. Would welcome a change from SoCal after 22 years. Plus Ms-Yanks should be a good series now.

I'll assume you include Oregon, NorCal and British Columbia for that region. Been as far North as Crater Lake, Oregon is beautiful and the fishing is amazing. Mt. Shasta and Shasta Lake....oh and Tahoe should also be on a bucket list.

I'm also itching to tour Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. Have a lot of friends that go on elk and bison hunts in those areas, absolutely amazing from the photos and vids.

Yeah...NoCal, Washington, Oregon, and BC (Vancouver especially)

...only got into deer hunting this past season....instead of borrowing someone else's rifle, I broke down and bought a new one back in Dec...and as far as fishing, it's always great down here.

Just not into the hunting sports yet. Can't really rationalize killing for sport, and I can buy meat at the store. Now, we have more riots here in SoCal, I have no problem plinking zombies. Now I'll definitely take a mountain lion or bear that is stalking me and the missus on a trail ride. Haven't come across bear yet, but have found fresh cat tracks on a double back section of trail. Talk about sensory overload, totally primal.

What kind of predators you got down there, excluding the inbred moonshiners that want you to squeal like pig, lol!

...^^^this...I hunt strictly for the meat, not for some macho need for dominance over another animal because I don't mount antlers or deer heads on my wall as trophies. And like you, I don't believe that it is somehow more humane to buy meat in the store that has conveniently been slaughtered and processed by someone else. Just because others may CHOOSE to buy meat in a store, it does not mean they are a better human, not to mention the additives and chemicals found in most processed foods.
...and I only shoot does and 1-2 year old bucks. Like I said, I have no desire to put a deer's head on a wall, throw out my chest and say "Hey, look what I killed".
...You can skin and cut up and "bleed out" the meat for 3-4 days by putting it in a cooler with plenty of ice, then drain the water and blood off every day while adding more ice. This will make it almost impossible to tell the difference between deer meat and some cuts of beef.

...I've seen 2 panthers since I've been out here, both times in the same general area but about 2 years apart. May have been the same cat, who knows? I even got a picture from about 100 yards away and sent it to the DNR. They tried to convince me it was either a feral cat or a dark bobcat and they gave the same explanation to other people who have had the same sightings. This was no freaking large feral cat because it had to have weighed at least 60-70 pounds and it was jet black and had a long tail...and bobcats are "bob" tailed cats.
