Any car people?

I'm seriously looking into purchasing a 2004 Pontiac GTO.



Anybody familiar with this kind of car? Pros or cons?

i dunno man, it looks like a ton of other cars imo, pretty generic and uninspiring.
mechanically im sure it's a beast and probably quite fun to drive etc, but looks wise, im 3/10 on that.

although im way more into euros and currently have a Alfa Romeo GT

It is a Holden.

 

If it is a car you want for a second car it wouldn't be bad. As a daily driver it doesn't make sense in my opinion.

 

Nice engine under the hood -- LS1/LS2. It has potential.

These cars are much bigger/wider than you'd think when you see one in person.

Btw, if you're looking for template google 'Revenge GTO'

 

Start with engine recalls. They should have a good amount of data over the last 10 years.

Since you're in NZ, I'll put it in your terms. He's looking at buying a Holden Commordore. Essentially that's all Pontiac did was take one of the better Commodore's and make it up for the US market.
