I'm seriously looking into purchasing a 2004 Pontiac GTO. Anybody familiar with this kind of car? Pros or cons?
i dunno man, it looks like a ton of other cars imo, pretty generic and uninspiring. mechanically im sure it's a beast and probably quite fun to drive etc, but looks wise, im 3/10 on that. although im way more into euros and currently have a Alfa Romeo GT
If it is a car you want for a second car it wouldn't be bad. As a daily driver it doesn't make sense in my opinion.
Nice engine under the hood -- LS1/LS2. It has potential. These cars are much bigger/wider than you'd think when you see one in person. Btw, if you're looking for template google 'Revenge GTO'

Since you're in NZ, I'll put it in your terms. He's looking at buying a Holden Commordore. Essentially that's all Pontiac did was take one of the better Commodore's and make it up for the US market. Gramps...
