For sure, it was frustrating, but I rather would have had this win tonight if I had to pick one game to win. A loss like last night you can say flat against a bad team. No excuse, but reality. Getting a win against a great team, in their place where they never lose, is a big win for these guys. Better to win tonight instead of last night if we could only win one game.
The Rangers are better than they realize, and can play with whoever is on the other end of the ice. Are they great? No, but they are moving in that direction. Hopefully they can find those missing ingredients and in the near future ... Well who know's
If I had to pick, yeah, definitely rather beat the Pens on there ice. But we will see how the playoff picture looks as we get closer to the end of the season, and we can look back at a few of the games where they mailed it in.
With Pouliot's goals the Rangers are now tied with Winnipeg for the NHL lead for most players scoring double digit goals. Despite repeatedly missing cross-checks on CK, Girardi, Brassard, and McD it was shocking that Neal was penalized for diving, don't ever remember a Pen receiving that call, also nice to see the refs give that cheap little effer Kunitz a well deserved double roughing minor and the king of cheap shots, the deserved receiver of a horse-collar concussion, Brooke Orpik a holding call. The Rangers really seemed to get under the skin of the Pens and handed them their first shootout loss in 2 years. Stralman Tebowing on the wrong side of the net on Pitt's first PP goal and then abandoning his post on the game tying goal with minutes left just offers further evidence of his incompetence, hope Glen is planning on letting him walk this summer, he absolutely blows.
yes that is true, but no team, not even the yankees, does every player be hot at same time, right now the rangers are gettin production/contribution else where, which is the best thing about this team right now..... when the time comes, only then will i get on those 2, cause thats when they have to earn their doe
After being stoned by the king in shootout http://mail.aol.com/38366-111/aol-6...ent.aspx?uid=30825340&folder=NewMail&partId=0
I think we can hold our own with either one. Split the 4 games with Pitt who despite their firepower are still missing that important ingredient called a goalie. Boston we lost twice 201 and 3-2 and one of those if I remember we dominated and should have blown them out. Both tough teams but neither one invincible for us in playoff round imo. Won 5 out of last 6 and are rolling. Best part about upcoming playoffs if we don't play the edmontons and islanders as they won't be there. We do fine against all the top teams.
