Damn. I love Jay Will, I hope he tags along to a team soon man. I only got a chance to see him play for 12 minutes this preseason, but he did do well in those minutes offensively. I don't think New Jersey was the right situation for him anyway, a 3rd string PG behind a superstar and a promising rookie. Jay has worked so damn hard to get back into the NBA, he really deserves a shot.

I think a team like Atlanta, Washington, Philadelphia, LA Lakers, Miami, Sacramento, and maybe San Antonio should give him a look. I personally like the idea of him being in Miami right now because he could be the 3rd string PG behind J-Will (the first one lol) and GP, then learn from them and spend some time in the D-League. Then maybe next year, after getting his feet wet, restoring confidence, and learning from 2 good PG's, he might be ready to handle the backup minutes next season when Payton retires.

That sucks, I thought he would have played nice there. But you have to take into concideration how the Nets already have Jason Kidd and Marcus Williams so Jay Will didn't really fit there. I hope he can find another team where he can contribute more.

Yeah Miami would be a good fit. Jason Williams is hurt for awhile so Jay Williams could backup Payton.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>then learn from them and spend some time in the D-League.</div> Can he spend time in the D-League? It's only for rooks/sophmores. On him backing up in Miami, I thought he tried out there last year and they had no interest. I really think Jay Will at best latches on a team for a season or 2. But other then that, he really lost a lot of his talent in the accident and he's at best a sub-par player.

Slighty suprised. But I guess this is a good indication that Williams will be back sooner than later. He looked so slow. Perhaps if the Bobcats decide to move Knight at the deadline or something he would be picked up as the third point, other than that I can't think of anywhere he might turn up.

Right, and he is considered a sophomore. The same thing happened to TJ Ford, he missed his sophomore season, yet was still considered a sophomore last year (in really his 3rd year after being drafted). I believe the same thing went for Nick Collison as well.

Honestly, the guys not good enough to play in the NBA anymore. I watched a preseason game of his this season and he was not very impressive at all. Sebastian was having his way with him and his speed on offense wasn't very good at all. I feel bad for him that his entire career was taken from him on one day, but that is why athletes arent recommended to ride motorcycles. Give him another year and maybe, MAYBE he will be able to find a team were he can get some minutes in the regular season.

I don't understand why everyone feels sorry for this guy...Yeah he seems like a good guy and he could have been good but please he crashed a sports bike going way too fast and he had a contract that had a clause in it that said he wasn't supposed to be riding sport bikes!! Celticsballa in the Chris Anderson thread you were bashing him saying you didn't feel sorry for him because he knew he was doing something wrong, so did Jay Williams.
