AV has gotten his and Brassard's brains to mesh with Zucc's. Role players who can chip in 15-20 goals with 15-20 assists are incredible value. Even more so when they have size and speed, can stand in front of the net. Pouliot has be very good for about 30 games now after being clueless, early on.

He likes those quick putbacks in front. For less than 2m the risk/reward is worth it with him.

He is due for a raise and with Zuc and quite a few others, its the reason we can't pay Cally the money he's asking for.

They actually could afford 7m, but would be assinine to pay it. 6m is generous enough.

no, you start paying 7 million to cally and Zucc and Pouliot will look to get bigger increases as they are preforming a lot better than he is this year

I'm not saying they should pay 7m, but cap wise they probably could fit it if they made such a mistake.

Callahan has 1 more point than Pouliot in 15 less games. So, I wouldn't say Pouliot is performing better. However, you have to factor in his net presence on the PP and how many goals that has led to as well as his chemistry with Zucc and Brassard.

Bottom line is what Cally is asking for is moronic. He shouldn't be ashamed to ask for it. He should be ashamed to say he wants to stay here because you make those demands, you clearly don't.

I think cally is clearly counting on his fan popularity to pressure sather to give him what he wants. Unfortunately, we probably don't get the answer till free agency when outside of maybe buffalo (and does cally really want to go there) I don't see another team paying him what he wants. If he really wants to stay with rangers that is probably when the money demands start to come down. Only way I see cally traded now by march deadline if some team gets a bad injury and in state of panic overpays for cally.

Pouliot is going to get a nice raise next year, so don't know what his market value will be and whether that'll be worth paying him. He's not coming back at the $1.3M, that's for sure.

Pouliot has basically been averaging 15-15 over the past 4 years if you project him over 82 games. Hopefully, he can take another slight jump to a 20-20 guy and that would be a very nice boost to our offense. Boyle now that he's a wing might be brough back. D. Moore is out of here. They won't trade D. Moore this year because the 4th line is playing well. After hating Carcillo, I can't believe how disciplined the guy is playing. I guess AV told him this was probably his last chance in the league and to stop his stupidity.

I think the Rangers absolutely sign Girardi. Cally gets dealt and I think Dorsett as well. They very well might package the two to get more in return. D. Moore will be let go because next year Miller and Lindberg will make the team. Lindberg will center the 4th line most likely. Though, I would love to see a line of Hagelin-Lindberg-Fast soon.

Stralman would be a nice rental as well but again like D. Moore, they can't do that this year. The team would take too big of a hit. I liked Dorsett but after watching Carcillo on the 4th line who I never had a high opinion of, I'm starting to question if Dorsett has any hockey IQ. That line is better offensively with Carcillo on it.
