I could care less. I'm not even a big baseball fan and I'm looking forward more to spring training than watching anything in the olympics. Not to mention the NFL draft and the rest of the NHL season.

I didn't even watch the last Olympic hockey stuff but this time I'm more curious to see how things turn out for some reason. Mostly I'd like to see Russia choke in front of their fans. I don't like pros in the Olympics though.

Sorry but you guys are absolutely bonkers if you aren't psyched up for Olympic hockey. I remember the first game after the 2010 Olympics, it was Buff vs. Pitt in Pittsburgh, and the Penguin fans actually booed Crosby and gave Miller a standing-O. That gold medal game was one of the best hockey games I've seen in awhile. I actually respected Penguin fans for a few minutes that day. It was before I knew DDD existed obviously.

Other than hockey I probably won't watch a single minute of the Olympics. Actually check that...Jamaica's bobsled team qualified this year. That's going to be must-watch television.

I do like the fact the US is a bit of an underdog so that adds to the rooting thing too. If they were a clear cut favorite like it is in hoops now, it wouldn't be watchable. It should be good, I just wasn't really into it in 2010 for some reason. Russia failing to medal would be kind of comical, especially with the absurd conditions over there.

Yep, outside of hockey if nothing else on I might watch some ice skating or bobsledding. I like the summer games much more than the winter ones

I like watching the olympics. I would rather watch the olympics than Knicks/NBA while there is no NHL hockey.

I agree with Prod. The Olympic hockey tourney is the best tourney going. Great showcase for hockey. The top 4 or 5 teams play some great games. All all-star teams. I will be watching as I always do.

With that said, if the NHL said no more pros I would be fine with that also. I would vote to send the pros, but if they stopped after these Olympics I would live.

if the final is anything like 2010, it will be the perfect springboard for the sprint to the NHL playoffs. Tourneys like this are a godsend for the NHL. A fantastic showcase for the sport. People who say they hate this tourney can't see the forest through the trees. Go USA, Go Hockey. Let the games begin

I find that athletes have more passion for the National arena like the
Olympics than the sports they play in. Used to be a strong supporter.
Not any more. From the people who run these contests to the athletes,
it is for self prestige. There is much that I find more important than
    these games.

all sports is about winning, glory and self prestige. Except on a local league level, the Olympics bring it to a world stage. that's why the athletes are so exited to be there

I would rather see the college players. Yes the Americans may not win it every 4 years, but when they do, it means so much more.

when the games mean something they're great. The CAN-USA gold medal game was great in 2010.....go watch baseball like old ladies

Plus it is probably the last year NHLers will be in the tournament

I'll say the US gets revenge on Canada and wins the gold, though their defense is very young overall, while Lundqvist stones the home Russians to win the bronze.

They never should have put NHL players in it to begin with. That's what made it boring.

I like Olympic hockey. Its just a great tournament

Hopefully US can win if not Sweden. I want Nash to have a great Olympics but hope Canada loses mainly because of Cindy hype

Sandis Ozolins looks better in this game for Latvia than he did in any game as a Ranger
