http://www.sport1.de/de/index.htmlSorry, it's in German, but Jordan was just in Berlin and was asked about the future of the game. He answered, "Well, the NBA is in great hands but if I had to pick the single greatest player on the planet, I'd take Kobe Bryant without hesitation". He also said that without handchecking rules Dwyane Wade would, "just be another guy".

I'm going to have to give that comment a big DUH, isnt' it kind of obvious? If he's the best in the NBA then yeah he's the best in the world. Like the comment on Wade since that Finals really pissed me off.

That's pretty disrepectful of MJ to say that about Wade. It's ok to have an opinion but I dont think he should have said it for all the world to hear. I feel bad for Dwyane Wade hearing his idol say something like that about him.Jordan just lost a little bit of respect from me.

I don't really care about the Wade handchecking thing though, because lots of people talk about it, and nobody cares, so why should Jordan be any different?

He has no affiliation with Kobe or the Lakers, what reason would he have to?

Because everyone does to be gentlemen. There was some thing with somebody calling Dirk the best or Dirk calling somebody else the best a few months ago, but that was bull.

Well I believe if D-Wade get's upset about that that's on him because Michael Jordan has an opinion just like anybody else does and just because he's one of the most popular Basketball Players of all time and a Rich Celebrity doesn't mean he should have to hold back what he thinks when someone askes him a question on TV in a newspaper artcle or whatever.

In that article Dirk Dirk was also calling Kobe the best in the league. So, I guess he is on the Kobe bandwagon too. Stop haten. Kobe is the best in the league right now, hands down. :worthy: I am a Lakers fan but I'm also a realist and it is what it is. There are definitely other great players out ther but when you think of the best in the league (as it stands today), you can't help but think of Kobe. I think at least 8 out of 10 people asked the same question would agree.
