Re: MJ Says Kobe's the Best in the World Yeah, Dirk did say that. Here's the thread on the article: http://www.bball-world.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=12463
Re: MJ Says Kobe's the Best in the World Wade's game would be severly hampered in the handchecking era. Believe it or not but MJ was the better penetrator then wade when he was young. He was also quciker and his leaping and flexibility helped him in getting contact and scoring. Wade's not the physical specimen that MJ was, Wade's physical attributes are actually quite poor. His leaping ability doesn't touch MJ'S. Infact, did anyone see Wade getting stuffed by that german dude? To me that showed his overrated leaping ability. So that is why I believe MJ is correct. Wade's weak jumper and lack of physical attrubutes would hamper him. Unless he was playing in a high temp offense like the nuggets.
Re: MJ Says Kobe's the Best in the World if you think aobut it hes not lying (about the wade thing)and kobe hte best player in the world.. yesss I agreee.. but were going to have ongoing debates about whos the best.. for the decades to come..

Wade is a much better ballhandler than MJ, stronger than MJ, and is also lightning quick and can change direction like few others. He has a good midrange game, and wouldn't be hampered much if the old rules were in effect (hell, AI had asround 30PPG when the handchecking was still allowed, and most of his baskets are at rim and he has less hops, strength, and height than Wade). No one has ever said Wade has a 40 inch leap or can do much dunking-wise, but he is extremely creative when he is in air, and strong enough to overpower a lot of guards and fast enough to get to rim with ease. He has a solid midrange game to back it up, and I think he'd do just fine in the handchecking era.I think what MJ said was quite distasteful to Wade, but I agree that Kobe is the best in the world.
