He's also kind of like Zbo was here before he was traded. Puts up monster stats, but the team doesn't seem to win. I also hope he goes to the Lakers, along with Melo. If they have to get some big names, it may as well be them, the empty stats guys.

Yeah but at some point Zbo "got it". And so will Love. I don't want to see that on a Laker team. Put Love in with really good players and his game will change. He is a very intelligent player. I am not his biggest fan, but I do respect his game. He can do a lot of little things that will help his teammates. I think his game will evolve.

Yep, that's definitely likely, but with Carmelo and old broken down Kobe as his teammates, that just sounds like a toxic locker room waiting to happen.

Link? When did Ariza say he'd rather win than start? He already has a ring and Washington is on the rise.

Yes that would not be a good combo. But I don't think that scenario is likely. That would be 60 million for three players

Confused. How is Anthony Davis not top 5 for DPOY?

I think it's more laughable that Terry isn't leading for COY. The dude took a team last season that had 33 wins and is currently third in the west. I get that Phoenix is playing really well.... but come on.

DPOY is just a popularity contest... just like MVP.

We have talent, though, and added big pieces. Phoenix, who many expected to be in the running for the top pick, is 5.5 games behind us only.

Phoenix has talent too. They were just extremely underrated. Dragic should be an All-Star. Bledsoe was playing at an All-Star level as well. They're a decent team. People just wrote them off. I think a lot of people forget that many pundits picked us to finish out of the top 8 this season, so quickly they forget.

Yeah, I worded that wrong, sorry. But we were a 33 win team last season, and added a few key pieces, but had guys on the rise. Phoenix was a 25 win team, and they dropped 6 of their top 7 scorers from last season. I like Bledsoe and Dragic. but Bledsoe has played about half the season. I just think taking that team to within 5.5 of us, with the offseasons, is more impressive. I dunno. We'll see what the rest of the season holds, though.

If I take away my blazers bias I think i'd give the COTY to Hornacek. The suns are doing so much better than they have any right to be.

I disagree. I think they're doing slightly better than I thought they would before the season started, but I would not have been surprised to see them in 8th. I think a lot of people slept on them, but they have some talented guys. I think Horny is doing a good job, but I also think they have the talent to make the playoffs.

Their own front office didn't believe in this team. They didn't give Bledsoe a contract extension when they had a chance and they traded away one of their top players in Gortat for an injured Okafor who is a FA this offseason. they were clearly looking at trying to get a top pick and instead their one of the better teams in the league. I think that is all due to Hornacek. He has really gotten the most out of quite a few career backups and unproven young players. He's doing something really special after their front office tried their best to sabotage their season before it even started.

On opening night on TNT, Kenny, Charles, Shaq, and Ernie all picked their top 8 teams in the West. Not ONE of them picked us. Now they act like "of course, they're good." Not one of them picked us.

Deng and Jefferson had excellent stats tonight. They must have heard the chatter.
