Let the debate begin on..Tupac versus Kurt CobainWhich one of these guys set the higher standard for music overrall and made a big difference in the world that way?
I don't think Kurt represents the face of rock as much as other people do. But tupac made a huge impact on how the world turns... gotto go with 2pac on this one.

With rock, you can play all types. Grunge, punk, indie, soft, folk, surf rock, blues, celtic punk, country rock, glam, etc. I could go on with the many types of genres in rock. Kurt was also only here for about 6 years and drastically changed the face of popular rock. At the end of the 80's rock was really going down. All these rock bands were using tons of hairspray, makeup, and playing either these love ballads or arena/radio rock stuff. Kurt came in with Nirvana and totally changed it from that to this hard rock with a touch of punk to create grunge. All of a sudden bands started to change thier sound. After "Smells Like Teen Spirit" aired on MTV, it changed everything with rock. Now, would of this change taken place if there wasnt Cobain? I don't know. I can argue that rap would be about the same if Tupac hadnt ever made it as a rapper. Now this isn't a shot at Tupac or anything, I still think he is still one of the greatest to rap. I just don't think he is nearly as influential as Kurt was when it came to music.
