22-9 LOSS TO THE FORMER WORST TEAM, OAKLAND. WOW. Oakland looked like Ohio State could've whipped them, and then they blank the Cards. Pathetic. Nasser, ditch the Cards. I'll let you join my Colts bandwagon if you want, but this is your only chance.

green needs to be fired, he tired blaming his offensive coordinator, now he's probably gonna fire the defensive coord. for allowing to many points....he's a bum of a coach, and the team is not responding to his hissy fits....so fire him immeditialy

Arizona is just a terrible football state. ASU sucks, UoA sucks, AZ Cards suck. And the coaches suck too. I dunno UoA's coach, but ASU has like the worst coach ever, and Green is incompetent too.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (koopa @ Oct 22 2006, 11:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>green needs to be fired, he tired blaming his offensive coordinator, now he's probably gonna fire the defensive coord. for allowing to many points....he's a bum of a coach, and the team is not responding to his hissy fits....so fire him immeditialy</div> Dennis Green is a bum of a coach? Really? He's done very well whereever he's been. Your not giving him half the credit he deserves. Do you know what happens behind the scenes? Green works with his coordinators, he knows them better than anyone else, who knows what happens with them behind the scenes...Do you guys realize how bad this team is? I've been telling people to chill out on them all off season, I still had them as one of the 6 worst teams in football. I knew the runninggame was not going to work because Edgerrin James needs holes and lacks the ability to make things happen on his own, and bingo, just like I thought he can't run with this offensive line. They have no offensive line to speak of (they knew the line was bad and they did very little to change it this offseason), the defensive line is really weak, well the whole defense is pretty bad in general. You have no runninggame at all, your starting a rookie quarterback...How and the hell is this Denny Green's fault? Everybody had this grand idea that the team would be much better because they have a new stadium, new uniforms, Edgerrin James....well if you have no leaders on offense or defense and no offensive or defensive line your not going to win football games.

The Cards need a better offensive line, or else Edge will never dominate like he did in indy.

Rattlers were good but they also suck now. S2S, milkster, go F yourselves. :)BCB, since Green came here I was a HUGE fan of him. He has done a great job getting the talent here but as a coach, S2S and that other guy are correct, he sucks. He doesen't do anything at all. The coordinators do everything so Green always has someone to blame. And guess what? I read it was Green at the end of the Chicago game calling plays not Rowen. He keeps hiring coaches and more coaches and uses them as a scapegoats when something goes wrong. He is a very bad coach. Sure he had some success in Minnesota but why don't you look up who his coordinators were, I'm sure you'll recognize them. Here I won't make you do any research...they were Dungy and Billick, two very good coaches. Both did win a Super Bowl didn't they? Or am I wrong on Dungy? There's a reason why Green couldn't take Minny far into the playoffs, he doesen't show any emotion during the games and shows no leadership ability at all. He is a bad coach. I think he was put in a bad situation with the Cardinals but he needs to go, the players lost faith in him this fast and he has failed to put together a decent o-line. Heck, he made it even worse than it was before.Edge is being an idiot too. He keeps asking for more carries when he can't even gain a yard. He just needs to shut his mouth. The Cards defense isn't bad at all, and no koopa, Clancy Pendergast will not be fired. He's a good D coordinator and the only way he won't be there is if he resigns. The defense has a lot of talent. There are just a couple problems. One is that Rolle just isn't a good cornerback and was a draft bust. I think he would be better as a safety but with Francisco playing well I see him as our other safety next year with Adrian Wilson. The other problem is the defensive ends, not the whole d-line. Dockett, Clancy and Watson have played very well but Okeafor has been very average since he got here and I think age and the injuries are getting to Bert Berry since his Pro Bowl season.I think for the Cardinals to be successful they need to go out and get a competent coaching staff. I would like Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow(Leinart's former O-coordinator) but it looks like they will go after some smaller names for the next head coach like Rivera from Chicago. Us fans can just hope that the next coaching staff is better. They need to get a tougher coach than Denny. For the o-line they also need to get at least 2 more starters. 2 more GOOD starters. And the coach who comes in needs to put the lineman we have in the right positions, not keep guys like Leonard Davis at tackle for his career and Wells at guard when anyone who follows the team knows that they'll be better elsewhere. They also need to get themselves a defensive end, or 2 and a cornerback. After that they'll also need to get some good depth at all positions. I think it'll take about two to three more years for all that to happen so hopefully the next coach is better or else I don't see this team every contending if they have to go through ANOTHER coaching change after that.

green hasn't done a damn thing in his coaching career, if you wanna look at regular season wins that's fine....but he has not done a damn thing, he's 4-8 in the playoffs....since coming to the cards, the most he's won is 6 games and that was his first year, instead of getting better like he always says they are they end up being worse.....to me that's a bum of a coach

Their drafting has been terrible for a long time and this team has no depth or players to fall back on, it's a joke. Dennis Green did a pretty good job in Minnesota, they kept him there for 10 years for a reason.

I've never been a fan of Dennis Green. I don't like the way he coaches his team, he doesn't motivate them (it seems like) to play the game that they are out their playing. I think they should bring in a new coach, because in three years, Green hasn't done jack, and he won't neither.

Do you realize how bad the Cardinals are? Do you realize what Dennis Green did in Minnesota? Everyone loves Dennis Green there. It's not his fault this team has no idea what it's doing, these last 2 seasons they have done alright with drafting but it takes time, this team is still a long way off. They have the sexy players like Leinart, Fitzgerald, Boldin and James but they don't have the trench players good teams need to have.

There's a hell of alot of young talent on that team, and Green hasn't shwon it. It doesn't matter what he did in Minnesota. That's the past now. This is the present, and in the present he's not so good. I do know he's not out on the field throwing the ball, running the ball, catching the ball, or defending the opposing team from stopping them from touching the end zone; but the fact of the matter is, good up to great coaches show up regardless, and don't make excuses for what they have to work with.

To win in the NFL, consistantly you need great trench players. The Cardinals have the sexy WR's, the sexy star RB, but when you don't have an offensive line or defensive line it doesn't matter. It's hard for a rookie QB to win you games when your getting your ass knocked on the ground and running the ball into a cement wall. Again, defensive ratings don't mean anything. Defensive ratings are determined by statistics and statistics are fuzzy. 'My team is the best against the pass!'...Well thats because teams can easily run right through your team and they don't need to pass as much....Last year the Packers were #1 against the pass and we were one of the worst defenses in football...we were #1 against the pass because teams ran it up our ass and thus our defensive rating was bloated. The Cardinals don't have the players to be even a top 15 defense.

The guy is a moron. The defense actually has a lot of talent on there. The DE's are average and the Rolle isn't good but there is a lot of talent on that defense. Adrian Wilson is a Pro Bowl caliber player and Green and Griffith are good tacklers though Griffith needs to be replaced by Francisco next year. Hayes and Dansby are very good linebackers and the Cardinals have 3 others who can take that last spot. And like I said the DT's have been very good also. Dockett is going back to how he was in his rookie season two years ago and Clancy and Watson have been great next to him.The main part of the team that's struggling was the part the Green always said he'd make better and that is the offensive line. It's his fault they are where they are at right now. There is no excuse for getting worse every year. How about you go here and try to defend Green? http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=4The man is a joke. And in the past he wasn't good either. His teams always underachieved in the playoffs even with the great coaching staff around him. He should go be a GM somewhere because I'll admit, he is good at finding talent but his coaching is way below average.

well, if it's gonna take along time, he needs to stop with the we are ready to win a superbowl b.s.......and he needs to stop blaming everyone, the plays go through the head coach, so it is him that is making the bad play calls, but yet he blames his O.C. and then throws a hissy fit....he can't coach, and he'll never win with the cards or anyone else

Denny Green did a fine job in Minnesota. They didn't keep him around for 10 years just for the kicks, they liked him and his teams were hard to beat (I remember watching us face them, ugh). Dennis Green coaches the team, I don't think you can blame him for people that have been brought in, blame that on the GM. I'm sure all these bitchy/stupid Cardinals fans (the ones on that website) were happy as a pig in sh*t when Denny was hired, now that the Cardinals aren't doing well everyones turning on him and doubting what he's done.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (koopa @ Oct 23 2006, 10:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>well, if it's gonna take along time, he needs to stop with the we are ready to win a superbowl b.s.......and he needs to stop blaming everyone, the plays go through the head coach, so it is him that is making the bad play calls, but yet he blames his O.C. and then throws a hissy fit....he can't coach, and he'll never win with the cards or anyone else</div> The last 4 weeks he's taken responsiblity for it in his press conferences. He's taken the blame. After the game on Sunday he said this was his fault. Who and the hell knows the situation with the coordinators, we don't know what happened behind the scenes. How and the hell do you think he got a job in Arizona? He was very successfull and highly respected in Minnesota.

We don't have a GM. Dennis Green makes pretty much all the decisions. Those fans are far from stupid. Their football knowledge far exceeds yours and mine on this subject. Especially since you didn't even know that we didn't have a GM. Dennis Green brought in all the players and coaches he wanted and did a good job with that. The team has plenty of talent all around but his coaching has much to be desired and he hasn't made any progress with the o-line. This is the worst o-line we've had in Arizona since ever and we don't even have injuries like last year. :no1: Of course everyone was happy when he was hired. He had a good reputation with all those wins and I was a big fan of him until this year. But after watching all these games and the lack of progress he made it's obvious that he's just a salesman. All his success came from being lucky enough to have the assistant coaches he did and there's no doubt that his Vikings teams underachieved in the playoffs.
