Honestly Id put him in the top 5 Yankees of all time. My order would be as follows.....

    #1 Babe Ruth
    #2 Lou Gehrig
    #3 Joe DiMaggio
    #4 Mickey Mantle
    #5 Derek Jeter

    No disrespect to Yogi Berra.

I think your order is right for the first 4 which are locked in like Mt. Rushmore. I think yogi and jeter could be 5 or 6 or vice versa.

I would take out Mantle and Put Mo in his place... Mantle would be 6, Berra would be 7...

I think my order is just the way it should be. Hell, I'd bet even Yogi himself would agree with it.

Under normal circumstances I would NEVER put a great relief pitcher ahead of a great starter but in Mo's case I would make an exception so I have no problem putting him ahead of Ford but NO WAY do I put him ahead of both Jeter & DiMaggio. And as much as I loved Mantle there's no way I put him ahead of DiMaggio.

If I continued my list I would have made ...............

    #6 Mo
    #7 Berra
    #8 Ford
    #9 Mattingly
    #10 Guidry

Yogi handled those great Yankee pitching staffs, up the middle anchorman, earned 10 rings. Don't remember the year in the early oughts that Mantle was picked as all time Yankee Center Fielder. Mickey is still my number all time. The Yankee Franchise has been blessed to have many storied players since they started kicking butt in 1921
