There arent words that can express how much I love this album. In my opinion, if not the greatest, at least in the top 5 albums of all time. Some of the greatest songs ever written. This is a concept albums as well. Its about building "a wall" around yourself to protect yourself from society and the world itself. "Comfortably Numb" is so chilling when I listen to it. Of course every knows "Just Another Brick In The Wall Pt 2." This has gotton a ton of radio time. One of the greatest things I like about the Floyd is that thier albums arent meant to be made into singles, they are meant to be played from begining to end. What are your thoughts about this album? Favourite song on here? etc?

Unbelieveable album. I've seen the movie though and it is harsh. lol. Some of my favorite songs include "Is there anybody Out There." It has a really nice accoustic solo in it. "The Thin Ice" is a great song. I love the line in the song where it says "If you should go skating on the thin ice of life. Dragging behind a silent reproach of a million tear stain eyes. Don't be surprised when a crack in the ice appears underneath your feet." It means that life is fragile and it is easy to make the wrong decision that leads to a trap. At least that what it means to me. Other great songs include "Goodbye Blue Sky", Hey You, Run Like Hell, Another Brick in the Wall II, and of course "Comfortably Numb." By far my favorite album from Pink Floyd.

I have to admit, I've only heard Roger Waters version of the record. Because of his mediocre singing live, I'm searching for the full thing on the net before I buy it. An upload would be appreciated

Absolutely love it, I love his style of song. Instantly I became a fan of his music and it's amazing how timeless his music is. People are still buying his albums and there's nothing not to like about it.

The name comes from two American blues artists that Syd Barrett, the founder, loved.

This is one of my favorite albums ever. I rarely ever listen to it unless I can listen to at least half of it without interruption. To really appreciate this record you have to listen to it from start to finish. It?s a story, a drama a rock opera. Pink?s wall is fueled by his drug use and failed relationships. Any of us can build a ?wall? in an effort to keep ourselves in or to keep others out. It?s a powerful premise. A few years ago we drove to Florida. I did all the overnight driving and listened to The Wall from beginning to end 4 times in a row. It?s that good of album that you can listen again and again and again. It never gets old. How about the movie? Who has watched this movie? The movie really provides insane visuals to go with the story. There all long parts that are animated. It?s a move that sorta changes you after you see it - or at least it did for me.

Yeah the movie was a little crazy. I went through a huge Pink Floyd phase 5-10 years ago. I don't listen to them as much anymore but I still am a fan. Surprisingly "Dark Side of the Moon" sold more though I don't think it reaches to the level of "The Wall"
