With the Lakers having little chance at making the playoff and facing financial/cap restrictions, keeping a vet center that does not fit in with their system seems like a bad idea. I would love to see a true center with offense in our second unit.

Kaman for Claver and Barton would make a ton of sense plus give us another roster spot.

Does Kaman have much to offer at this point? He isn't the guy he used to be. I would rather have the young guys getting minutes for the future. Kaman five years ago would be okay, but not now. The tank is empty.

Kaman sucks. He is way past whatever prime he had.

We're never ever going to use Claver and Barton, so why not. Kaman is another big body out there.

Although I have a "no trade with the L*kers rule". Let them burn to the fucking ground!

Kaman is the guy I thought we'd be stuck with at center this year....

...until Olshey found a trade for Fropez.

    All hail Olshey!

Claver true. Not so sure about Barton. I think there is a long shot that he could be our backup PG after the Mo era ends. Stotts routinely puts him in at the point now and he looks okay. Better than anyone else on the team, and likely better than CJ at the point.

Chris Kaman is the only player in the NBA that Brian Posehn can make fun of for looking dorky.

...bump! Kaman is on fire right now and proving all of the doubters in this thread that he can still put up solid numbers when given the opportunity. He would be a huge get for pennies on the dollar. C'mon Neil, make it happen before the deadline!

    I agree.

Holy shit. I'm watching him right now on TNT. He's been running a clinic on Ibaka, making him look silly.

I'd like to trade Mo and Leonard for Kendall Marshall and kaman but Marshall cannot be traded this season. What about Mo and Leonard for Blake and Kaman?

I am still for getting Kaman, but think the Lakers are not really worried about saving a few dollars. I am also not willing to give up on Leonard for a thirty game rental.

    Mo/Wright/Claver works for Blake/Kaman.

That adds salary to the Lakers for next year. No way they do that unless it is a player better than what they could get in free agency.

They're already sunk with Kobe until his deal expires. I think they're setting up for a big buy the summer after next.
