Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history How many of you guys know about this? His father used to beat him every day, And would scream/call him names on a daily basis. 'His apparently consisted of beatings from his father that would make him internalize everything, let anything that bothered him eat away at him from the inside' That's the major reason why he took the Jordan comments so hard. His dad is currently in jail on a murder charge. I feel really bad for Kwame Brown but I think LA is the best place for him. Out of all the Laker games I have seen whenever Brown does something good Kobe Bryant and others show him major love. Giving gim hugs, Fives, Ect. They really support him when he does well.
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history Yeah, he used to burn cigarettes on his arm.See the bottom left of the pic? Those are the scars.
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history Wow...I had no idea about this. :cry2: It explains alot and I feel for the guy.
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history I never knew about this either, must have been real hard going through that
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history Never knew.Wow, thats terrible. Maybe thats why he doesn't have great confidence..
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history I'm starting to really like Kwame, this put him up a lot higher in my books.

I feel terrible for anyone that had to grow up like that.

I will never bag him out again. That is some major sh*t to go through right there. Respect to you Kwame for getting through that and making the NBA, Thats impressive and you just became someone I admire.
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history Wow, I never knew that until now. I've liked Kwame since he came to LA last year. I think he's a good guy that just needs to improve his game. What better than the triangle offense?
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history I heard something that he had a rough childhood, and that he got those scars from his own doing. Now that I know the details I'll look at him in a different light.
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history Yeah hes in a right place then. Kobe gives him lots of love and hes a leader to him. Ive always felt sorry for him just cause of the critism hes been through, but hearing this makes it worse. Atleast he has Kareem teaching him the hook shot!
Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history Wow, that's horrible. I feel for him, it's gotta be tough going through that. But when it comes to basketball and such this does not persuade my opinion about him at all as a LOT of players have gone through things as traumatic as that. I mean jeeze, his teammate Lamar Odom just lost a son this past summer!

Re: Kwame Brown's abusive history Jeez, first I felt bad for the summer Lamar had, now I feel somewhat bad for Kwame... I disgust myself sometimes... :/

Good to see a happy ending though(he's in the NBA making 7 digits)
