Biedrins grabs a shitload of offensive rebounds, and can score around the hoop. He has a willingness to play D, and is quick around the hoop and runs the floor well. Free throws can be fixed, it's only a mental thing, he shoots around 75 percent in practice.I like Diogu as well, but Biedrins has picked up Nelly's system well, and according to reports, Diogu has been slow to catch on and is having trouble on D. Biedrins is just going to play more this year. I never even said that the lineup that I listed was our starting 5. I just said it is our most consistent. Either way, Biedrins is a much better defender/ rebounder. With Diogu I've never felt that I've seen an urge in him that shows that he wants to get the boards, that he wants to get blocks. With Biedrins you get that energy every single night and you get the boards and plays at the defensive end. I can't remember how many times Biedrins has made his man or someone go to the rack change their shot or have to throw up a wild shot to avoid being blocked, or when Biedrins goes after a loose ball that is about to go out of bounds, or when he gets the offensive rebound on a shot that a defender has just about grabbed out of the air. I love Diogu and all, but if I could have either player, I'd take Biedrins. He has more energy, more potential, he's more athletic than Diogu and fits in a running system.
