Who do you take? It's gotta be the Broncos D. The Bears haven't played one team in the top 15. Denver's played two top ten offenses and had, in my opinion, their most impressive performances in those games. Holding St. Louis to 6 FG's despite the Rams starting at least four drives within' field goal range, and one or two others in Broncos territory, and giving up only 7 points to the Pats, and 6 points to a decent KC offense. They only gave up a TD to Cleveland because Cleveland started the drive in the redzone. They've allowed 44 points in six games.. thats insane. Then you look at Chicago and you see they've played mostly bottom teams and mediocre offenses aside from Seattle. They're a great defense, but I'd say Denvers has been more impressive.STATS - The one that matters.Pts. Against: Denver (44) Chicago (59)Chicago has more impressive yards against numbers, but the one that matters is points allowed.

I'll take the Bears defense. I'm a stat guy myself, but just what they did against Arizona was amazing. Two fumble returns, one for five or six yards; the other for 40 yards. Then Devin Hester getting that 80 yard run back. I know, I know, it's the Arizona Cardinals, the team that got beat by the Oakland Raiders. I understand that, but how often do you see a team with a quarterback that has six turnovers alone, then it's defense rebounds for them and wins the game by ITSELF? Not so much. You make some excellent points, and I commend the Denver defense on what they have done, but right now, I myself will take the Bears defense on this one.

If you look at it, its the same #1 bears defense from last year but only with new additions such as the mannings, etc.

The Broncos held Tom Brady, arguably the best quarterback in the game, to 1 touchdown towards the end of the game. The only other touchdown they allowed was when they started off in the redzone. Let's go game by game here.St. Louis - They allowed 6 field goals against a great offense that started out in great field position multiple times. Our offense is what lost it for us.Kansas City - They go up against argueably the best running back in the game and don't give up a touchdown to him. They only gave up 6 points to the offense which is pretty good.New England - Tom Brady. One touchdown. Thats all I have to say, but it pisses me off that still after we beat them some dumbass analyst says they are better than us. It was right before the Ravens game which leads me to my next game.Baltimore - Only gave up a field goal against Jamal Lewis and Air McNair. Lewis had like 40 yards and McNair threw 3 picks. Don't forget that they were undefeated before.Oakland - Yes they suck ass, but any game in this rivalry is going to be somewhat close. This was only close because our offense couldn't score in the 2nd half. Cleveland - THis game was total domination on the defensive side. The only reason they scored because Plummer threw a pick an they got the ball in the red zone. Basically, our defense hasn't had a bad game this season. This week against Indy is going to be another test and I think we will pull away with a win because I have a feeling our offense is going to have a huge breakout game. The reason why we haven't yet is because Gary Pubiak, I mean Kubiak, is with the Texans.

I'd take the broncos D because when you play in the afc and are able to stop people like that you know you have a badass defense, the nfc sucks compared to the afc....also the bears lost mike brown so I wouldn't be surprised if they start falling apart

When you talk about defense you throw statistics out the window, they are truely worthless. I don't care where a defense is ranked, how many points they give up where and when...etc...you can pick apart stats and make any point you want. I really don't know. The Bronco's have the best trio of linebackers in football with Gold, Williams and Wilson. The Bears have the better secondary. The defensive line is probably near even.

I agree that some stats are worthless but points per game is a useful one, unless you've played crappy offenses all year. I really don't know yet. I'm thinking Bears right now but I'm not sure. I don't know how you can use the Cardinals game and say it's a good thing for the Bears. If the Cards didn't play conservatively for 3 freaking quarters then they wouldn't have looked so good. They owned them in the 1st quarter. It was all Urlacher that brought them back. I would say the Broncos but I don't want to judge the Bears on 1 game so I'll just go with them since they have a game changer at linebacker. Urlacher singlehandedly be the Cardinals. How many tackles did he have? He was amazing.

Their secondary is pretty damn good to:Champ Bailey: One of the, if not the, best cornerback in the game. Most quarterbacks are scared to throw it to his man because he is a shutdown corner with great hands.Darrent Williams: Second year man out of Oklahoma State ( ). He is over-shadowed by Champ Bailey, he is only 5'8" but he is a great tackler and is fast with pretty good hands. He will be one of the best in the league in the near future.John Lynch: This guy is one of the best hitters in the game. He knocks you to the ground. It seems like the older he gets, the better he gets. His coverage is much better than it has been.Nick Ferguson(sp): He is my least favorite out of the bunch. Ok hitter, coverage is pretty good, he just gets the job done and doesn't try too much to make the big play or anything. When it comes to the D-line the Broncos have lots of underrated players and 5 former sucky Browns that are now beastly. The new DEnd that is coming out these last few games in Elvis Dumervil. He has 2 sacks against Cleveland and one against Oakland.
