Man, unless they change the format of the all star weekend, I hope they never build that hotel.

Good. The whole All-Star Weekend is turning into a clown show.

yeah, I have to agree. I tried to watch the All Star game...the intro was as far as I could stand, I switched to something else, came back in an hour and tried again...what a fuckin yawn fest

It's usually worth close to 100 million dollars for the local economy, so it would be well worth it, IMO

not to mention all the publicity for the city. I'd love to see the Moda Center host the ASG

Portland should build a giant hotel to get this event.

I don't see why anyone would really want this.

It's not a good way to promote the city anyways. I can hear it now - Charles Barkley and Shaq bitching but the weather non-stop.

This event happens during the peak of the rainy winter weather here.

    Not.

    Mad.

With the irony being that the east coast has just as bad weather. The media is as dumb as it can be, and they show it so well.

Isn't it the truth. Every year at All-Star time the beauty of the NBA game gets turned into an ugly Look-At-Me Contest.

I remember all of the Yankee fans telling Robinson Cano to enjoy the rain when he left there for Seattle, the irony being it actually rains more in New York than the Northwest.

the NBA has the best all star event in america and its not even close imo. it has its flaws but the pro bowl is a much bigger travesty towards the NFL than the ASG is to the NBA
