Luc Longly and Bill Cartwright put up some pretty decent numbers to. Does that mean he was above average?

    Raptors are also reportedly interested.

Longley never put up decent numbers.

Cartwright was absolutely "above average" when he played for the Knicks. He was even an all-star his rookie year. On the Bulls though, Cartwright's numbers were not good.

Your comparisons are terrible. You really should just stop.

In 97\98 Longly had 11 pts 6 rebounds and 3assts a game. That's decent. He never was great but he had some decent numbers in a few of his seasons.

He is above average…..for us. He fits in very well. As far as before this year, I think that most people would have classified him as a decent center. Certainly not a top center nor a shitty center, middle of the road…..kind of average.

Turner has skills. He has been average, but maybe with a different team he becomes…... above average. It all comes down to fitting the pieces together.

Just because it works doesn't make it a good deal.

    Case in point.

Was a rumor of him being traded to Minnesota. Would be a great addition for them in a playoff push, I think.

Why would Memphis make that deal? They're rolling right now. Plus, Allen has been out for 6 weeks, and when he comes back, will only help Memphis and their slowdown/defense game plan.

Courtney Lee can give them similar production, but also can shoot the 3. Budinger gives them someone who can shoot from outside, and Barea gives them a backup PG they don't currently have.

Memphis has 15 on their roster right now. Who else goes, or do they just waive 2 players?

Wow, just saw that Marc Gasol dinged his knee again, and is questionable for the Knick game. That sucks for Memphis.

I'm still a bit cynical about this veracity of this rumor. Two teams who are potentially battling for the #8 seed are looking to trade with each other. That rarely happens.
