So we can all stop calling Stephen Curry the best shooter ever now right?

Pure shooter, maybe Reggie Miller. Ridiculous argument anyway.

Curry was the captain and starter who received the most votes of anyone in the backcourt. Curry was the only starter on the West who got yanked at the end. Lillard and Dame weren't in to get yanked. They were reserves.

You are sounding awfully butt hurt over all the love curry is getting. He is legitimately a great shooter and one of the best in the league. He has a career 3 point % of 43%. I don't know how you can say he isn't one of the best shooters in the league. People saying he can be one of the best shooters of all time isn't crazy

Of course, he is one of the best shooters in the league. But he isn't the best. And he DEFINITELY isn't the best ever.

Maybe if Curry had been in at the end the West would have won. But he might have taken shots away from Durant. Can't have that.

The thread title is a straw man anyway. Who cares?

find one basketball analyst that has said that. I haven't seen anyone say he's the best shooter ever.

The thread title is taken directly from what Obama said during his interview with Barkley. It was a strong opinion that some fans have taken issue with.

I recall Mark Jackson adamantly stating that Curry/Thompson are the best shooting backcourt ever, and several analysts agreeing with that statement. I take issue with that as well; I'd take the Stockton/Hornacek backcourt over "The Splash Brothers" any day.

Obama isn't the only guy who said it. Lots of people were saying it during All Star weekend. Or at least debating it. And yes Mark Jackson said Curry/Thompson is the best shooting backcourt ever.

A very underrated shooter in my opinion was Chris Mullin. He had a sweet stroke. But yeah, I don't feel Curry deserves such a tag. How quickly we forget about other shooters that played this game.
