    Thinking calmly about Batum's career trajectory: would he ever have gotten off the pine under Nate if Roy hadn't demanded Batum start? His entire career was shaped by a star who wanted him in the lineup because he would defer to the star.

    Batum runs around like a 40 year old man. He has hardly any slashing ability and can't create his own shot. He's an average spot up shooter and over-rated defender making 10+ million a year.

    No. We're still a ways away from finishing. If the hot start from the Blazers taught you anything, it's not to look at the standings until the end. We play more than 1 game the rest of the year, as do they... it doesn't mean shit. :)

    Trade him before anyone figures out he's fool's gold.

    I do think it's because he takes over when nothing else has worked, and the team needs a big boost.

    Well a disappointing loss and disappointing effort from Nico in this game. Some positives with TRob, Rolo and Wright. Mathews didn't have a great game either. With LA down and Joel down, it's going to be tough to play half court against teams like the Spurs! Go Blazers!

    Same here. I think he's an unselfish team player, but when he sees us down big, he feels like there's nothing to lose, so he just calls his own number more to try to bring us back.
