    Bingo!

As for the OP, I would hazard a guess he was using hyperbole to make 2 points. First, the team needs to get better on defense. Second, Blazer fans over-value our players. Dame-for-Conley is silly...but if I proposed Mo or CJ for Conley, I would get the same reaction!

Personally, I would sacrifice any individual player to make the *team* better.

If I could get Conley for either of those players, I would do it in a heartbeat. Of course, I'd probably turn around and deal him for something else, but I would still do the deal.

I call bull on that. Nobody is turning down mo for Conley and being serious. Same with cj.

There have been all kinds of suggestions for trading MO, CJ and Nic without getting this type of reaction.

The funniest part is the title says this is a trade Blazers "need" to make . . . because if they don't make this trade, as KS would say, it's over!

I call bullshit too. I would love to have Conley on this team. And based on the Mo bashing threads I am guessing most of us would carry him to Memphis on our backs in that scenario.

This whole crack on Blazers fans over valuing their players is getting old. How many Blazer fans wanted to trade LMA for shit? A lot. It goes both ways. People over value other teams players as well. Can you say Ramon Sessions (who is now on his 26th team in 3 years)

I think for the most part we are all pretty logical.

I would still take Sessions as a backup.

Sure. But the overvaluing stems from the very vocal minority that wanted him as pgotf

I dunno any more. Seems like it had been basically until we drafted lillard. More just people desperate for anything different, which I get

Exactly. I was not implying Ramon sucks, because he doesn't. But I do think we over value other players because we only see their highlight's and boxscores for the most part. Some play better with bad teams, and some fit in better with better players. It's not until you watch a player over and over do you really start noticing every single weakness. And when they play for your team, those weaknesses start to stand out and irritate the hell out of you.

Totally. And then people immediately forget when they're gone. I've seen people ask for the returns of jack, Blake, Webster, miler. All obviously beloved blazers. Lol

We definitely over-value other teams' players because we don't play any defense, and we mostly see other players when they play against us. In what world should I ever covet Houston's point guards, let alone Beverley?!

To be fair, Webster's weakness was he lost his mojo from beyond the arc. But he's got it back now so why not desire him? :ghoti:
