<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CelticBalla32 @ Oct 25 2006, 05:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The next Manu? Ehh.. and ok let's just say he becomes Ginobili 2.0. That would make it much worse on the Pistons organization. Why? Because he already wants out. So what are you going to do, let him "get good" then have the courage to demand a trade? Then you have to deal him, and when you demand a trade that diminishes your value a little. If he doesn't want to be there, deal him for someone who does.</div>The thing is, if Delfino gets Ginobili-good, then the Pistons will play him more. As for now, he's worthy of minutes in the Pistons organization.I don't see any bit of Manu in Delfino either, I don't think Carlos will be that great. But Dumars thinks so, and I think he doesn't want to screw himself by giving up a great talent for a little talent. I don't think other GM's see a lot of potential in Delfino either.
Rockets- I would take a very serious look at Juwan Howard, see where I could send him. I would definitely try to promote Chuck Hayes in the pecking order. Also, I would see who likes Luther Head. I love Luther Head, but with Snyder, T-Mac, Wells, and more all taking up minutes in the guard positions, Head is going to have a diminished role, and why not get someone who can contribute instead of sitting on the bench?
I guess actually I'd trade James Jones and Kurt Thomas for Chris Wilcox if I could Then maybe trade Barbosa.
If I was the Spurs, I would bring in some young talent. They have been trying to do this for a while now like when they attempted to get JR Smith for Brent Barry, but I think the Spurs backed out. I believe after this upcoming season(may be the next), the Spurs are going to have only 3 guys under contract. thats right, Tim, Manu, and Tony. They would be able to bring in a young star to help them, but I think they need to bring one in now before Tim and Manu decline anymore. Thats why I would trade Brent Barry and Robert Horry to a team that needs leadership and some veterans. I don't know who would take them, but if they could deal them to a team for some young talent, I would do it in a heartbeat. The main position's the Spurs need to fill are obviously the center and small forward spot. Unless Butler gets good, they are going to need somebody else. I really havent thought as to who they could get for the SF position. I would love to bring in Nocioni because I think he would be a perfect fit but Chicago wouldnt deal him.
I'm satisfyed with the Lakers line up so if Im there GM for the week all I would reall do would be sit in the front row of every game. Make sure I get the autograph of every player. And if that week is on the week the Lakers play the Heat I would walk over to Shaq and (joking with him of course) try to convince him to suit up in a LA uniform for one night only lol.
