I have been reading all this religious stuff on this site and it is very interesting. But nothing has been mentioned about faith. I would just like to hear what you guys have to say on the difference between religion and faith.
interesting point. I've come to the realization that all religion is, is the practice of faith. different religions may have different origins, different traditions, but it all leads up to one thing. Faith in their God.
That's why Atheists prosper. We get to spend our Sunday mornings in bed or doing some sort of interesting activity, while you religious, church-going/Allah-praying/little-boy-touching (Catholics) people spend your days praying to something that doesn't exist.Anyway, I don't really see a difference between religion and faith. However, not everything you have faith in is something you pray to, right? But, then again, if you have faith in something, you believe in it, just as most do for religion.

But I think alotve religion is surrounded with faith, but religions such as Hinduism dont require much faith. But to be a monotheistic believer you have to have faith.
All religion is is faith. I agree with Ill, really. I don't see the point in "worshipping" something that can't be proven to exist.
Yeah but thats the point of faith. But there has been stuff found around the world or areas in which the Bible/Torah/Koran took place that helps prove the Bible/Torah/Koran somewhat right. Also, there something I would like yall to read if your up to it. Its called "The Case for Christ", basically its written by this guy who set out to prove the God/Jesus never existed and he was atheist obvisously. But while trying to do so, ended up converting to christianity. Heres the amazon.com linkLinkSummary

But it doesn't prove or disprove the existance of God, all it proves is that the people of that time were recording events.

Things that we are discovering today have been in the Qur'an forever. How about how a baby is made, in full detail. You don't go to church for your religion. You go for Faith. What matters is having a strong connection with God.
No I'm not. Perhaps someone a long time ago was smart. If Newton hadn't defined gravity, we still probably wouldn't understand it or even think about it. Someone has to think of it somewhere.
