This explains why Rubio smiles but can't shoot straight.

I've knew about that when he coached for the Blazers, keg in the office and a keg at home. Looking back I think it's kind of sad considering the struggles with alcohol two of his children grew up to have.

You know anyone else who can make a few million dollars per year under the influence?

Would you rather be sober in a poor family, or a lush who will inherit millions?

Wow, that's interesting. I already deleted the post game show and talking ball from my WMC-DVR so I have scheduled it again to be recorded. I'll check on it tomorrow.

Even though I am new here, can we post video clips?

New posters can't, but I'll tell you when you have enough posts.

“Tapping” into the links at the bottom of the page...Adelman about Sam Bowie.

“He had his feet on the ground, basically, with his knees bent, so his feet were kind of out away from him. Jerome landed right on his leg and basically snapped the bone. It came right through the skin…His leg never healed. He broke it shooting a jump hook, he broke it just walking around. The bone never healed.”

It was always talked about how much of an drinking problem and how much of an alcoholic Adelmen was when coaching the Blazers so this doesn't surprise me in the least.

I think I've read before on this board that he kept a keg in his office, but I thought it was a joke.

I bet a healthy Bowie would have given us a title. Duck was a pretty good offensive player, but Bowie was a good passer/rebounder/defender. Portland dominated the glass in that era, imagine how much more so with Bowie.

Why did the Blazers ever fire Rick? He's succeeded everywhere he's been. He should have been our Sloan, our Popovich.

    Golden State says hellooooooooo....

Rick was good coach but his teams have always had the same problems. In 20+ year of coaching, he's never progressed.

I thought the keg in the office was common knowledge.

Maybe a keg in the office was common knowledge but how many knew it was a powder keg, not a beer keg?

I always thought it was a mutual parting. The stress of coaching the blazera was causing adelmen to drink more and more and the blazers management was tired of his drinking problem
