Off season move: Carmelo for Batum and Mathews? I'm sure the two players are Carmelo and John Wall. Carmelo wants to come to Portland to play with Lillard and Aldridge!

Oh that would be very interesting to say the least. Kobe is a renaissance man though. I don't think Kobe would come to another team for a championship he just wants to kill them. Thats the difference between him and a player like LBJ.

    Barton for carmelo
    Crabbe for Durrant
    Leonard for LeBron

Everyone signs for vet minimum because its all about keeping Portland fans happy, not money.

Lillard and rolo get the start Aldridge or melo comes off bench. I think melo would be the 6th man as he can just carry then bench offensively. Genius plan, why am I not gm?

Carmelo makes sense as a guy who would maybe want to come here. Wall doesn't to me. Washington is a team moving in the right direction. I suspect the other guy was a guy who has been talking Damian up a bit the last couple months. Kobe.

That's a name that popped in my head as well.

Kobe has been talking up Dame. Kobe wants to win another championship. He won't be able to do that with the Lakers. It makes sense to me.

Not saying it will or should happen, just saying that the name makes sense if you're tossing out All-Stars that might want to come here.

Or, it could just be the media trying to create hype with no real names or sources, because the team is faltering.

    One of the two.

I have traveled this country far and wide, from sea to shining sea, and the one thing I have learned is that every NBA superstar wants to live in Portland, Oregon, where the state motto is either "The Union" or "It flies with its own wings" or "She flies with her own wings" or "One flies with ones own wings."

Please remind me how much is Kobe getting paid each of the next two years?

We aren't gutting our team for an old over the hill injury prone Kobe Bryant.

    I hope to god.

Or you should just get on the bandwagon that clearly every All-Star wants to come here.

As well they should. Now, If there were some way for Kobe to renounce his ridiculous contract and come here for the $5mil we have to offer, I'd be listening.
