Isnt Ruutu a feisty player, maybe thats why he respects him.

Voracek is too young, and I cannot see Cally on Philly.

    Ruutu seems very possible here.

This is better than the game Clue. I dont want rusty unless we get a pick with him. But it would make sense that ranger fans would not be happy trading their captain for a third line at best player.

I think Ruutu fits the mold.

In Sochi. Player he respects, which to me means plays a fiesty game. Fans will not like it at first, again makes sense. Signed for two more years, which Sather will like. 4.75 cap hit, not 5 mill +.

    He makes sense.

I keep thinking Alfie does also, but I just don't see Sather doing that, and rightfully so.

-The player coming back is not signed long term
    -It is not Blake Wheeler
-He laughs at the idea of Kadri
-He doubts that this is a strategy to scare Cally into taking the Rangers offer

I'd rather draft picks than him honestly. Need scoring? Let's bring in another Torts type of player. We need to change the make up of this team, not continue to bring in guys who shoot high and wide all the time.

As an aside, Ruuto has a NMC.

I dont think Alfie fits, he's only on a one year deal

Even though Alfies a UFA they may want his leadership and top 6 talent..but they should ask for a 2nd or high prospect too.

He's not signed long term, but he's not a pending UFA either according to Boom.

Well maybe he is. He said he never said the guy was a pending UFA but then again that doesnt mean he isnt....

    I need to go outside

Ruutu is signed for two more years though, is that long term...doubt it.

On pace for 7 goals and 23 points this season...terrible.

5 seasons of 17 goals or more.

3 seasons of 44 points or more.

Clearly nothing special. 3rd line guys. Chip in 15-20 goals.

I wouldn't love it, but he fits Boomer's mold.

People are saying St. Louis, but I cant imagine people not being happy about that. Maybe because it makes us even smaller? Callahan was no hulk to begin with

Right, he just said not signed long term. Is that UFA this summer? Two years? One year? What is considered long term.

I cannot see Alfie, would make little sense since he can walk for nothing this summer, or retire. Maybe Sather would bank on Hank getting him to stay.

    Seems unlikely to me.

He is on pace for 20 goals and 50 points, but is also 41.

I don't see it. He will most likely retire this summer.

I would hate that deal as well, which also seems to fit Boomer's description

St. Louis fits a lot of the mold, but would TB really do that? I just cannot see it. Makes little sense for them. Deal their heart and soul captain for rental Cally? Don't see it.

Doubt it is Alfie or St. Louis.
