I generally see a lack of the humor I originally found when I joined. I think there's an unnecessary sense of entitlement to some of the members who've been here for longer stretches. The old official fansite is where I used to post along with Blazer Fanatic and cmeese and Blazer Maniac. There was virtually no moderation on that site. I see much worse bickering here than I did there these days. I've probably got grandchildren older than some of the posters here that flaunt this mystical.."vet" status. Negative threads seem to thrive. A lot of my favorite posters here disappeared about a month after I joined on Blazer Fanatics recommendation. She didn't suffer fools and was as much a homer as I am but much better at expressing it. Somehow her sarcasm and humor seemed to threaten the natives and the pitchforks and torches came out for a witch hunt. My two cents is that there is a double standard when it comes to trash talking.

 

To be fair the old site did have some moderation it just pissed Dustin off that he actually had to do that part of his job. I personally had probably 10 posts edited during our more heated discussions and BF had at least twice that number. With a couple other edits sprinkled in for other posters.

I am okay with zero tolerance for personal insults it just means we all need to get more creative in how we trash talk.

MM, you have recently been suspended and admitted you deserved it. Given that, I'm guessing you will be monitored closer and edited quicker (as should all posters who have been suspended). I don't know if that is fair, but you kind of made your own bed by your prior suspending type conduct on here.

 

I see nothing wrong with a man calling a man a whore, especially if it's an attention whore. Everyone knows that there are no real whores here, except jlprk and jlprk.
