That would be dumb to keep Richards just because of MSL, if he in fact gets traded here. If it was only another 2 years maybe but not with 6 left.

pretty sure everyone on here agrees with you dude. We'd all be shocked if this was true and Ruutu seems like the more logical trade to occur. But the rumors are there and we're discussing them.

With Stamkos out i cant really see Yzerman trading the extra year of St Louis for anything less than Callahan plus high pick and prospect. If he goes it'll be for a lesser name who's signed for another year or two. Which brings it back to a Purcell, MacArthur, Ruutu type which is ok.

 

This trade has never made sense to me from TB perspective but Boomer has said its not Ruutu.

From what i saw tonight Yzerman wants a high pick and prospect with him which i dont think Sather would do. Straight up just dosent make sense even from our point of view. It would be great though.

 

Yeah but Boomer has been saying 1 for 1 all along w conditional pick. That's not usually a 1st rounder. I agree w you I don't see it for TB but it doesn't make sense for Boomer to tweet this stuff unless he knows something.
