http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/428..._with_new_york/ <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The New York Knicks signed free agent Kelvin Cato on Wednesday. Cato was dealt to the Pistons last February by the Orlando Magic . He has career averages of 5.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.</div> OK, so they signed Cato. I hope it wasn't anything more than the vets minimum, but knowing Isiah it might be much more. If it's anything close to his previous contract I am going to roll on the floor and laugh for an hour. But Cato is a better option off the bench than Jerome James, at least. I have always kind of liked Cato. He's tough, a good rebounder, and he's very strong.
Finnally Cato is kinda old but he is better than Jerome James. He does basically everything JJ does Good move hopefully we can land JJ somewhere.

He's very overpaid, he's fat, and he just really isn't that good of a basketball player at all. No way you guys can get rid of him. Isiah made a huge mistake by giving that Happy Meal a contract, and you guys have to suffer through it. Man, I feel bad for Knicks fans and the stuff you guys have had to put up with over the past few years.
this is a good signing. much better than jerome james. at least cato will actually contribute to the team. I'm glad james is hurt. I hope he stays that way so he doesn't have to step on the garden floor. good sign zeke :dribble:

Honestly, I think the Knicks need to dump everyone on that roster, but keep Nate Robinson, Channing Frye, and David Lee. I know that will never happen, and it would be really bad if they did, but no one on that team other than these guys is worth what they're getting paid. They're all a bunch of headcases. I honestly feel bad for the people of New York (I never thought I'd say those words ever again) when they have to watch that trash on the court together and that idiot on the bench.
I just hate it when people ignorantly depict what the knicks are capable based on last years terrible 23-59 record
Cato and Francis are good friends this should help with team chemistry a lil bit, back in Orlando and Houston the oops we're going to Cato not Yao or Dflight
