As part of the collective bargaining agreement, rookie contracts are two years in length, with team options for the player?s third and fourth seasons.</div> Picking up the options on all three of these guys was obviously a no-brainer, but I felt you Knicks fans should be updated anyway. Frye is going to be a very good player, and an All-Star caliber big man in the future. He has a very nice touch from 15-19 feet, he can play a little on the block, he's fairly athletic, solid shot blocker, and he's a tough kid. Channing Frye is the centerpiece to the Knicks' future. David Lee has always been a favorite of mine. He's your scrapper. He's an excellent rebounder, he's very tough, stronger than he looks, a better scorer than some would assume, and he works extremely hard. Any coach would love to have a guy like David Lee on his team. Nate-Rob is an exceptional athlete, pretty eye-popping. He just amazes everybody with than he can do despite his 5'9'' frame. Speaking of that frame, he's built like a bull, he's incredibly strong, he's fast, he hustles, and he's really improving that outside shot. Nate is a good guy to have coming off the bench for energy.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pinoy Balla @ Oct 25 2006, 04:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>David Lee: -average rebounder</div> Since when is David Lee just an average rebounder? Lee is actually a pretty damn good rebounder. The thing I like most about him though, is that he's not a guy that just jumps up and grabs a ball. He actually has rebounding skills. He boxes out, gets position, bangs his body around, and he has a good nose for the ball. I'm very suprised that someone (a Knicks fan too) said that David Lee is just an average rebounder. He's definitely above average in my book.
the future of the knicks. :happy0144: frye needs to work on his post moves so he can get rid of the label of "soft" even though I personally don't think he's soft. he has a great work ethic and he strives to be better. he's got a sick outside jumper and he needs to become a better rebounder but I love the guy and I think he'll be a good knick for a long time.nate is a tiny freak athlete with a huge heart and plays with a passion that the knicks have been missing for years. he's not your typical pg but he's not gonna be a star but he will provide a nice spark off the bench and he showed that last season by bringing the knicks back into games when they were down early (we all know how often that happend).now I purposely saved the best for last. this guy is the man :worthy:  :worthy:  he plays so hard and he also has a great work ethic. he's a great athlete (won the dunk contest in 2001 micky d's game :winkglasses: ) I think he can be the same type of player as dave debusschere, who played hard and was team first. his jumper isn't that great but he has been working at it and it will improve.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>-average rebounder</div> :shok: I know you're a knick fan but c'mon this dude is a crazy rebounder. he averaged 13 boards per 48 minutes. that's a rookie and he's grabbin boards like it's his job. I love this guy.
