Lillard to opt out adidas shoe deal, detonating bidding war with rivals

    Yeah, for the most part bball shoes are godawful. I always thought adidas had better looking shoes.

    Paul Allen should found a shoe company, pay Lillard $30MM/year to market them and then re-sign him at the end of his contract for the vet min.

    Glad someone else pointed this out. His writing skills left something to be desired. The guy seems to have some decent sources/insight these days, but I'd expect more out of a journalist/columnist/blogger/whatever he is.

    Guys on Talkin' Ball were talking about the contract Rose sighed a few years ago when he was being pushed as the face of Adidas

    The contract was 13 years for $185M. That's insane.

    How the big stars don't take cuts in their NBA salaries to help bring in more players is beyond me. Big 3 in Miami did, but after that, not many.
