Good to see GO on the court. Now, he can retire on his own terms.

i'm happy he made a comeback. I hate that so many guys have been robbed of their careers by injuries in the last decade. Even now you can see how much talent he has.

He could be dominate without doing that. Lopez doesn't even play that many minutes a game. Seems a little unrealistic.

That will never happen. Some Miami radio guy was on The Herd this morning saying that Oden's knees swell up an hour after he plays, so they try to limit all of his play within that window. He also thought that he won't even play in the playoffs until the Indy series, and only then for 8-10 minutes a game. His knees are never, ever going to let him be more than a curiosity off of the bench.

He's only played 35+ minutes in a game four times.. and that was before his 4 year hiatus.

there's pretty much no chance of that ever happening.

Come to think of it, I know of a team in the NBA that could use an 8-10 minute center to come off of the bench for next season.

    Come home, Greggers!

Seriously? He can't even give you 8-10 minutes a game in consecutive games! What are you people watching that gives you any interest in him?

Broke down Oden still gives you better minutes off the bench than Leonard does right now.

Hater? That's a bit of a stretch, but let it be known I'm far from optimistic about Oden's ability to earn a paycheck in the NBA. NBA roster spots are hard to come by and I'd rather see someone healthy get paid. Felt the same way when Patrick Ewing milked a few million from the Sonics at the end of his career bagged in ice on the bench. I'll be astonished if Oden can play a season of competitive basketball and contribute much.

I'm also someone who believes guys who've retired from career threatening injuries should be required to play a long stretch in the D league before they can sign with an NBA team. Roy should have as well.

The hate and the snark toward a guy whose body betrayed him is bullshit. It sucks he's on a team I hate, but I'll always wish the best for Greg. People forget what a carefree naturally funny guy he was before the injury. Without those injuries, he'd be a 21st century Shaq, dominating on the court and a clown off of it. And he'd likely be doing it for us.

He was born with knees that couldn't take the game, just like Walton was born with feet that couldn't take the game and Bowie was born with leg bones that couldn't take the game. It's nothing more than bad luck. I put as much faith in GO as anyone as the final piece to lead us to the promised land, but it didn't happen. It sucks, but the hating on him in here is ridiculous.
