- San Antonio winning it all is possible, but my early pick is Dallas.- LeBron winning MVP, also very possible. I have it down to Kobe and LeBron.- Brandon ROY - yes sir. He is my favorite rookie, and he's also the most ready and well-rounded.- Pat Riley won't win Coach of the Year, the coaches only voted for him there out of respect that Miami just won the title, IMO.
I agree that the Spurs will win the title, but I don't think Roy gets ROTY, and I dont think James gets MVP. Riley is a safe pick for COTY, but that award always goes to some wanker who loses his job the next season.
wtf? D'Antoni and Avery were the last 2 COY's and they're regarded as good if not great coaches, not wankers. Just because Jerry Sloan sucks...
Who knows really...I don't know who's going to win the title, or MVP...although by the way Brandon Roy's been playing in preseason he looks like he has a great shot.
It seems like every year the mavs are getting underrated. The team the mavs beat last year is the favorite? The spurs are an older team as well as losing Rasho and Mohammad. I don't know who will win coach of the year. Might be Avery again.
Spurs have a great chance! Roy , maybe - him or Morrison are my early choices. Lebron? well if the lakers dont win much or miss the playoffs its his to lose. Nash getting it twice in a row is a JOKE, and since the NBA seems to often throw out these jokes (think dress code, handchecking rule and now the no talking to the refs thing) Maybe it will go to someone like Brian Scabadine.(sry spelling)

I wouldn't be suprised though if the Spurs are there in the end even if they aren't my choice to come out of the West.

That's better then having the media kiss their asses, besides it's the Mavericks way. As for picking Spurs, it's a safe pick just like they were last year and the years before. They have as good a shot as the Mavs do, I mean I hate Mavs fans who write off the Spurs because we beat them last year. I mean hello, we barely won that series thanks to a Dirk three point play. This year, I like their additions, Rasho/Nazr barely made a dent in the playoffs, they got younger better bigs that can play small next to Duncan and allow better matchups(Butler/Elson). Eric Williams, Matt Bonner, and Jacque Vaughn are solid low key additions as well.

If the Spurs big 3 can be 100 percent healthy, I think that they can take the Mavericks. And another thing, Rasho and Mohammad didnt play in the Spurs vs. Mavs series so that wouldnt make a difference what so ever...<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rok @ Oct 26 2006, 09:12 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Who cares if Mavs are underrated every year?
